Just used this video to install mine. It went exactly as outlined. No problems, no new tools purchased mid install. No personal injuries to arms , fingers or any other extremity!!!! Super quiet ride inside now. Definitely a solid more stout tire carrier.

will the tire carrier work with the mopar reincforcement hinge kit? i dont want teraflex anything after those saggy springs i got with my Sport ST3 lift. but everyone says they love this spare tire carrier.

Yes, our tire carrier works with the Mopar tailgate reinforcement.

How much weight can this tire carrier hold? I'm running 37" wheels, want to know if I can also add a 12 gallon Titan fuel caddy to the back or is that too much weight?

We don't directly have a weight rating, but it can safely hold a 40 inch tire on a beadlock wheel no problem.

Great question! The hinges are Teflon lined, so they're intended to be maintenance free. However any lithium or silicone base (non petroleum) lubricate can be used.

Can u use the stock tire mount with the support?

No. Only works with their carrier.

Yes, you can put your stock tire carrier on it. They recommend only going up to a 35” tire with that set up.

Weight is not the limiting factor of the JL hinged carrier. The tire diameter, able to fit on the back of the Jeep, seems to commonly be determined by the rear bumper installed. We have had zero issues with a true 40" mud terrain tire being installed on the hinge system. The tough part is finding a bumper that will allow a tire of that size to fit.

Those 8 bolts holding the tire carrier say 25 pound foot torque. That's BS! I just busted two of them. Can't raise the door at all, getting more pissed by the minute. Walking away until I can find some new bolts.
