Never understood why he doesn't get that you can't fake a real crop circle. I was at a talk he did in London and at the Q&A a fairly irate question on the subject was asked, which didn't surprise me. You can roll about on crops or flatten them any which way, it's not going to resemble a real pattern. You can't get the crops to grow horizontally, you can't get the actual stems to bend over without breaking them, without using say some kind of DEW. Or using the equivalent in psychic ability.

Possibly sprites (red) and jets (blue)? These are a newish (1989 - first photos) electrical phenomena in the upper atmosphere, so the time frame is about right for his comment. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprite_(lightning) They seem to be a cold plasma effect, meaning the color temperature of the light is way above the ion temperature of the plasma making up the "sprite". The blue lights are "jets" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper-atmospheric_lightning#Blue_jets Jets and Sprites have lower current density than normal lightning.

What he says about Physics as well. I like to just focus on his Positive ideas and see what I can glean from it. I wish I could have time travelled back to him in a hyperbolic time machine and taught him more Physics and Maths. I originally learned on my own and have kept my psychonautics to myself and I feel bad when people ask me how I do my calculations. I honestly just see the stuff on and off the stuff and since I always read physics and maths while using various tools my mind links them and sometimes ill say something to myself that sounds technical like one time I had the idea of a McKenna Bundle such that the DMT realms are actually sections of the Mckennian Bundle over ordinary Spacetime which I could make more exact. Either way he has influenced me to treat Psychedelics as another experimental tool to check theories. I mean String Theory tells us that there are 10 ^ 500 kinds of laws of physics (types of reality) so it seems that these psychedelic realities are actually objective or more importantly the singularity where the objective and subjective realms switch just like how space and time switch at the horizon of a black hole. I think the gnomes he speaks of act like Branes obeying QM and in a realm with inherent quantum features. They are implying that if we learn their language we can directly use the mind to choose what way a collapse of the wavefunction will occur. I suspect the randomness of QM is due to us essentially cutting a fastly rotating weave of loops we cant see because it rotates too fast. If we could slow it down or speed us up and see the loops then cut the loop you want and you will observe the desired result. Theres a fringe physics text im reading that explains how mind may measure by cutting loops this way. The loops are time loops in a sense, not loops in THE time because we always knew an issue with physics as is is that each particle and system should have its own time coordinate and it is untractable with current maths. Maths is lanugage though. I want to talk to the gnomes and see if they will meet me halfway with this geometric language I have thanks to maths. I dont mind vague metaphors that technically arent true because I suspect the metaphor will give way to a paradigm shift. Anyway I just want to plant the seeds on the connexion between psychdelic and physics XP. I want more people to do this. I cant see why my other colleagues who study 11 dimensional vibrations of hyperspaces as a theory of physics dont want to do DMT. Am I the only DMT using physics guy? I hope knot. I feel like I must spread the idea to do this method since it seems its usefulness is unlimited but my time may not be if quantum immortality has an exception or etc

I also don't necessarily agree with his dismissal of truth as being "arbitrary". Truth can be felt Intuitively just as beauty can. But maybe I'm just misunderstanding his point.

Yes, I think Terrence shows an inner conflict between intuition as a source of knowledge vs a more hard science approach. Terrence employs a great deal of intuition in his work, indeed many if not all of his inspired theories come from this place. Then he sort of panics and needs to reaffirm his position as a “hard scientist” going so far as to really dig into others work as non rigorous at best, and even looney. its his own dilemma, many do not have this issue regarding intuition vs hard perceivable data as source of knowledge

MrApotator I do love Terrances far out side and I do appreciate his passion for knowledge in all its manifestations. However his sort of pursuits do necessarily tend toward the relative and the subjective. Ie. your creating the trip in your mind and each will experience their own trip. Objective or universal truth, I believe is a different beast. This is where Terrance shows some bias. It bothers me that he is so hard on meditation, buddhist, or so called spiritual paths. If you consider the work of Ramana mahRshi. Or Nissarghadatta. Basically the ancient non dual teachings, I feel you can achieve a universal truth. The catch is it is outside of mind thus cannot be reached through Terrances approach. It is the realm of No Mi d
