I love the story at 50:00 when he was stuck in a mind loop on a bad trip. 'I'm not going to scream, I'm not going to call for help, I'm just going to sit here and wait' until it passes. This actually has application to life beyond tripping... I often wonder about things like depression, where people are encouraged to get immediate help, go into therapy, get on meds, etc., and no one is ever told 'hey, maybe there's a purpose and reason behind the depression, maybe waiting would be better.' I'm not saying people shouldn't try to get out of depression, but maybe your mind needs to go into the darkness for a little bit rather than just immediately getting assistance and artificially making a life you shouldn't be ok with tolerable.
@FoggyTimes98 Жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more! I used to be addicted to oxycodone and valium for 4 years. I was using for many reasons, but they all led back to me running from reality. It wasn't until my mind went into the darkness completely that I then realised what was happening and how I was affecting the people and environment around me. I'm so grateful for them times, however, obviously, while going through them, it was the worst days of my life, but they led to now the best days of my life.

To taking acid every other day for 4 yearsi , only since scoring acid at the great full dead fairly well concert have I recently started dos sing again with intense curiosity of life,

A good aspergillium has a piece of natural sponge inside the perforated hollow ball. It comes apart with a screw and washer. So it can hold even more water to sprinkle before putting it back in the bowl for a refill. Otherwise it simply drains out when lifted from the water and the residual is flung through the air.

ya, it's hard to believe he died at 53. a short life, but it almost seems like he lived several lives when you consider all the things he did. from the prototypical middle-american-turned-college hippie, to wandering hash smuggler and lepidopterist in asia, to ethnobotanist, mushroom grower, author, historian, lecturer, and amateur mathematician, devising his own model predicting the eschaton inspired by the i ching. and it's not like he inherited millions of dollars and then decided to do all of this. it was essentially a choice: at some point around the age of 19 or 20 or so, he decided to go all-in on Weird. and like he said, nature loves courage.
@Fenriz12226 жыл бұрын
