It's a great feeling when you find a new use for old products. My embossing folders have been neglected lately, but now I see so many possibilities for using them with my gel plates.

Surprising, you can also do this with a paper (kitchen) towel. It won't last long, but you can get a neat texture.

One thing I'm confused about is when to put the image straight onto the paper and when to paint over it and pull it off. Is it just a matter of deciding what I want the background to look like?

Hoping to make some of these with my embossing folders tomorrow! Anyone tried this with the newer 3D embossing folders? I wish I had crafting friends so we could trade some embossed cardstock to use for gelli printing...

YeatesMakes has been doing a similar thing with gel plates but embossing his card by hand with a ballpoint pen.Definitely going to try this with the embossing folders (because my ballpoint pen skills are absent.)
