Oh now that's proper Detroit sound from a terex. We had these working on landscape sites in Derby, U.K. in the 1970's - awesome scream - well captured here.

They do sound good. When I was still going to school I spent the holidays riding one of these machines doing a subdivision in Turangi. Since then I have always liked the sound. This machine is also in 2 more videos and a Terex bulldozer also. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony

That's the way to do it! Never stopping and load in #2! I have been on both ends of that job with 14's and 24's and 6C's and 8-H's and you catch them on the fly! GREAT job!

Hi, Anthony851. A drawn sheepsfoot roller TOWED BEHIND the pushcat IN THE CUT. Ain't seen that done before. Thanks for the video. It's good to see those old 'green lizards' still doing their thing. Just my 0.02. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

It seemed wrong to me also, how hard would have been too park up the roller. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

Something about those 2 stroke diesels and the way the sound! In around 1976 I spend the school holidays in the cab of a machine like this when health and safety were more about common sense than legislation, great memories. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

@@anthony851 A pleasure mate. There's something fantastic about the machines from that era. Got a few videos of an old CAT D9G dozer on a site I used to work on a few years ago. Great to see it still at work. Brings back good memories aswell! All the best 👍

Great video, Anthony, and a job well done. The road realignment is now so wide and sweeping that it's hard to even recall just how narrow and tight those dangerous corners of Bull's Gorge were, especially during winter. I wanted to make a video of this action, but couldn't find a decent spot out of everyone's way. Cheers. Peter, Waipapa.

Thats how you do it, foot hard down on both throttles, just keep rolling and let the blade catch up up, click the load counter and away. Memories....

Back in the good old days I spent the entire school holidays at the age of 13 riding around in one of these machines, also good memories. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

Just something about those old double 671 screamers, or were they a pair of 471's ? I operated several screamers on excavators, but never had the privilege of operating the Terex scrapers. What job is this, a small contract road section ? Enjoy your videos a lot

+Greg “Banjo Greg” Cantrell This machine is powered by a pair of 471's. An area known locally as "Bulls Gorge" south of Kerikeri had the road realigned. goo.gl/maps/K2hyUdsE21K2 for streetview of the area, move up the road and go to an earlier date to see the road beforehand. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony

And stupid me, I thought the scraper had to be stopped for 20 or so secs so the dozer could catch up to the push pad, or is that only on American scrapers and not Kiwi ones?
@anthony8516 жыл бұрын
It looks like they had a plan, scraper go anti-clockwise and the bulldozer pounces when the scraper comes past. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

This driver would be sacked in my day,when you were pushloaded youonly used the front engine, when loaded you used both engines and lifted the box to pull away from the pusher. Spinning the rear wheels was a sackable offence. Tyres cost money.
@anthony8518 жыл бұрын
You migt have to excuse the wheel spinning, probably done for my benefit! Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

The dozer could have pushed down on the push pad, and if there been opened up thats nearly another 200 horses trying to load.
