I don't think why would anyone want to build a house that structurally not so strong
@ProjectSkrillexNL5 жыл бұрын
is the extra strenght provided by steel beams or concrete slabs necessary for just regular houses? I think brick-archedshaped roofs are strong enoug structurally!
@user-uz4gh7sm9l5 жыл бұрын
I was also thinking the same, but then I realised we already have many historical monuments which have dome shaped roof and they seem more sturdier than the steel roofs.

I don't think such building designs gonna be adopted by Indians. Why? Let me tell you. I recently shifted to my newly constructed house. At first, I too was excited to build a eco friendly home but later I found that neither it was feasible nor affordable. The required workforce and knowledge wasn't available. Never ever I've seen any of these eco friendly buildings built on a small plots of 150-250 yards. These houses require a huge space which is hard to afford in a metro. Most of the architects have no knowledge about the market of raw material required. Neither they put any effort unless they are building a billionaire's house, or their own house. Such designs of buildings require a specially trained workforce, or at least a knowledgeable supervisor, neither of them is available for a common man. All this is when I'm living in the best planned city of India: Chandigarh. Also, architects charge hefty fees for these designs. Hence, a middle class person, who is already paying EMIs for the house loan, is left with no option but to build a house using only traditional methods, even if the overall constructuon cost and long term running cost ends up being higher. I hope by the time I build my next home, these eco friendly designs will become affordable and also adaptable for small sized plots of metros.

You know you can design your own home and do the research yourself instead of waiting for someone else, right? You can also find an architect outside of india to do it. Contractors follow plans and the architect can be a project manager too. Many educated persons can be a project manager. Try googling earthships.

For eco-friendly architecture to become affordable, the trend must begin from the rich. Mostly, the trend at this point is that the rich buy pre-constructed houses and do not really bother about eco-friendly architecture. It must also be blamed on the lack of necessary exposure. And most mainstream builders do not really go after alternative architecture. It will take a couple of decades until it catches on and becomes noticeable in the mainstream market. Lack of exposure seems to be the biggest factor. No one just seems to have seen much of alternative architecture.

I thought reducing the use of cement help mother nature but this guy use more cement and less steel? Steel is completely recyclable, isn't it?
@beejonsahu99223 жыл бұрын
Both steel and cement need breaking hills deep inside forest. So we should always try to use as much earth as a building material. Instead of fried mud bricks we should use compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks or go for rammed earth wall techniques to build our future homes and any other building. Always look for sustainable practices in life and look for environment friendly solution to save our earth. We need more of forest and water bodies to make wildlife thrive as these will help human species to thrive balancing with nature naturally and sustainably. Jai Ho.
