The way Tikal follows Terios around is eerie. Feels less like how an NPC like Tails would follow Sonic and more like someone playing separately as Tikal consciously trying to follow behind

Something that felt really weird to me is that in the level where Terios and Tikal team up, in some parts of the level Terios keeped loosing all of his rings without taking damage, and it usually was when he was near Tikal, or when she kept up with him. You think that maybe Tikal was trying to use soul catcher on him? If she was, there are 2 possibilities. 1. She's doing it on purpose, witch means that she either has another plan, the spider has other plan that she told her in secret, or she keeps mistaking him with Sonic, witch would be hileriously in canon. Or 2. She's doing it unconciously, wich means that she can't control that power really well, or that she's loosing control over a power she shouldn't have in the first place, or even worse, the power is taking control of her.

Edgy the hedgy and local angry Echidna girl team up to get emeralds for a spider-woman that's totally not using them. Anyway, nice episode. I thought the lack of audio in one part was meant to be a hardware bug in-universe. Terios's model is pretty well done; though I wonder what's the purpose of him having a Saturn model in-universe (outside of universe, whoever worked on that model, 10/10, awesome work!)

I considered letting the audio issues just be part of the glitchiness of the build, but felt like it was better to just be upfront about it lol Thank you! Edit: Changed my mind about this, and I think it’s best to let the audio issues be part of the video! I’ll leave this comment up though

Wow, I really don't know where to start with this. I suppose I'll start off by saying that the Terios model/mod you commissioned looks really damn good. I particularly like how his homing attack appears to have different properties from Sonic, topped off by how he seems to be capable of Drop Dashing. So, first off, while acquiring them certainly looks different from the pre-release images video, it looks like I was right in my assumption that in this particular build of SA1, the player could seemingly acquire the Chaos Emeralds so long as they reached the goal ring with 50 rings, which is a neat allusion to how the special stages were accessed in Sonic 1. There were also two particular details I couldn't help but notice while Terios was going through Speed Highway. First off, at 4:12, if you slow down the playback speed and look at the ledge above the one where Terios lands, you can see _something_ up on that ledge. No clue what exactly it is though. Also, the spindash sound effect going off at 2:13 and 2:35 has me wondering if that's supposed to imply Sonic was somewhere nearby in Speed Highway as well. That being said, the fact that the spindash sound only played when Terios jumped into those grabbers makes me think it might just be a stock sound effect and nothing else. Like what others have noticed, I also took note of how Terios' ring count kept going down to zero at multiple instances while going through Red Mountain. No clue what that's supposed to mean though, just as I have no clue as to whether that was Tikal's doing or not. Same thing applies to Amy's apparent presence in the Egg Carrier stage racing Terios, especially with how Terios still got a Chaos Emerald despite Amy still being ahead of him by the time he got to the goal ring. Maybe getting a Chaos Emerald wasn't Amy's goal there? (Also can't help but notice that all the main playable cast have been opening animal capsules whereas Terios has been reaching goal rings in this vid. Again, fitting with how Chaos Emeralds were retrieved in Sonic 1.) Finally, while the very end of this video and what'll happen to Tails is very much cause for concern, my attention is more grabbed by the state of the Master Emerald shrine. In Amy's sidequest video, the shrine was in tip-top condition just like how it was in SA1's flashback segments. Here though, it's back to it's usual state in the present of SA1 proper. No idea what sort of significance that could have. Finally, assuming the next videos don't end up being prequels/interquels that show him being led into a trap, then I'm starting to think maybe Sonic made the right call opting to follow Fly rather than heading to the Emerald shrine ._. On a more serious note though, Fly's utter lack of presence here when this video was about Spider-Girl advancing her plans further and manipulating Terios along with Tikal to do so has me starting to wonder if all the Beta characters really are collaborating together in some big plot like what other commenters have assumed. With how she's had to manipulate both Tikal and Terios into doing what she wants, it's making me think that the beta/cut characters aren't actually all in on this together working towards the same end-goal and that Fly might genuinely want to help Sonic out. Won't be surprised if the next video makes me eat my words, but it's the strongest theory I have at the moment. Anyway, another fantastic entry into this series. Great work, man.

I just wanna comment on how I enjoy how... not scary this is. Which sounds bad, but I really think it adds to the storytelling and overall off-putting vibe this series has. There's always just some, "why did you say that" or "why did the audio do that" kind of thing. (Even if some of the audio in this was bc of errors, it still went well lol- reminded me of how you used no music in certain areas eariler in the series.) It really feels like the game is from some alternate reality/development timeline. I'm not a big fan of the arg/creepypasta/alternate-reality stuff that is game but scary and with jumpscares, and you crafted this just perfectly on that line! Like the ending to this is the most overtly horror thing we've gotten. This series definitely reminds me of creepypasta I'd find as a kid, think it's real, and be TERRIFIED to play/find this in the game. I wish I played SA1 to properly add to the theorizing here and catch all the changes to details! Regardless, amazing job, hope to see more :]

Great, now Tails’ been got too. What was Amy doing in Sky Deck? Was she also looking for the Chaos Emeralds? I am assuming that the Spider Lady wants to unlock Terios’ Super Form, assuming he even has one. If I remember correctly, he/Shadow weren’t actually meant to be a playable character early on in Adventure 2’s development, and if he wasn’t playable then he probably wouldn’t have had a Super form.

Wonderful episode as always! My only real complaint is Terios having Jason Griffith Shadow's voice admittedly kinda takes me out of the experience since if I remember correctly, this build of Sonic Adventure dates back to 1998. I know wilder things have happened with this copy of the game, I just don't really understand how he'd have that voice unless this copy just doesnt follow the rules of time and space or something like that

Damn now this has me thinking that this was the original version of shadow that was made before the biolizard, so what happens here is the lost memories shadow can never reclaim since he just has the same dna, but of course this version of him didn’t know Maria so reclaiming his main memories is all that’s important to him so that’s why in adventure 2 he doesn’t care what he is he just knows he’s shadow, and it makes the lyrics in final chase make even more sense.

With this being an ongoing series, I'd wager we just don't have all that info yet. She was definitely confused on her place in the world at the end of Hidden Character when she says "Thank you for freeing me, Sonic. But what do I do now?". Then at the end of Amy Side Quest, the same Character that's influencing Terios in this episode can be seen convincing Tikal to join her as well. My guess is that this character (who seems to be a spider) is pulling some strings behind the scenes.

Wait, did tails die, becuase i think he did something to stop tikal, becuase that red screen feels like tails trapped tikal, like he had something under his sleeve, if he didnt die, then great, tails got their weakness and sealed her inside the master emerald or did something idk, but if he died...... *Sonic, Kill them and rip and tear them now and no mercy for them*
