Teri... A little Tip from my recent experience... On pieces like those Mirrors, with Sprue INCONVENIENTLY on the edge, I took your recommendation for the Molotow Chrome Paint Pen... Filed and sanded that offending edge carefully. Then painted the edge with the Molotow Chrome Pen - still placing them on the inside. The result is nearly unnoticeable!! 😉

I saw someone use the Molotov Chrome pen on some chromed truck parts and I was impressed and had to try it myself. it's an excellent thing to have in the spares box.

Indeed... Once I got one, I had to get 5 more - and a Refill, which I'm going to try in my Airbrush. Over a Black base, that SHOULD look awesome!! 😊

The Graphics installation was brilliant!! But I LOVE that Green!! 😊💕 What shade is it? It's beautiful.
@TeriWilde3 жыл бұрын
I have no idea what shade the paint is. The guy at the auto body shop gave me a metal ring bunch of colour swatches and I flicked through and stopped at the one I liked

OK, sounds like an idea 💡 I may try that!

That is called “application tape” Because it’s used for applying the graphics only, it’s then removed and discarded

I would have thought it would have a more technical name but hey oh... simple description for a simple thing...

When I built my Scalia I couldn’t find anyplace how to handle the graphics. I had thought you had to soak them off.
@TeriWilde3 жыл бұрын
it does say in the instruction manuals that you cut the stickers out and peel off the liner. 😎

.... Teri, I've just started watching, but watching you do the Mirrors reminded me..... WHAT A PAIN in the F'in ARSE those little Screws and slippery straps were, that hold on the Mirror Stanchions!!!!! 😳😖😠😠😠
@TeriWilde3 жыл бұрын
they do come lose quite often, I usually put a touch of clear nail varnish to thread lock the thread so keep nuts on
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the warning. My Mirror nuts will also be holding on my Inner Door Panels, so I'll need to keep those tight. 😉

@@CarminesRCTipsandTricks Okie dokie, thankya sir. i appreciate it very much. Hopefully soon & can order my 1st tamaya semi (Kenworth or Peterbilt) build. Just waiting on the propper finances soi can have room to order. Would i order directly from him or go thru you? What would be best???
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks3 жыл бұрын
@@truckerray7533 Ordering from me would definitely not be proppper. I'm not affiliated with the Company in any way. Just a satisfied customer!! 😉 I hope you do get started soon. Gotta warn ya tho, they're ADDICTING!! 😋 I'm not even finished with my first build yet (Grand Hauler), and I've ordered TWO more Rigs! A Globe Liner and an 1850l Cargo Van.
@CarmineRC2 жыл бұрын
I've been meaning to ask... since my Grand Hauler is supposed to be representing an older Rig, the big, fat Exhaust Stacks WON'T work. I'm also going to be building a Globe Liner... very custom, SLIGHT stretch (using King Hauler Frame Rails). My question is, do the Globe Liner and King Hauler have the SAME Exhaust Stacks?
@TeriWilde2 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure but i think the inner is slightly different. The King/Grand Hauler are left and right handed but I'll check when I get home if the Globe Liner are the same. It'll be tomorrow as I'm 400 miles from home and about to drive back 😐 Southbound and down 😆
@CarmineRC2 жыл бұрын
@@TeriWilde I appreciate that. 🙏 Money is EXTREMELY tight. I don't think I can afford a set of Stacks...
@TeriWilde2 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid the stacks on the Grand, King and Globe are all different, but the Globe and King are only very slightly different.... The ones on my Snowman truck are aftermarket alloy and the bolt (not screw) is central and I needed to make a bracket to ensure they were in the right position. The ones in the stacks of the 3 kits are left and right handed with the bolts being slightly offset.
@CarmineRC2 жыл бұрын
@@TeriWilde Awwww 😭 I was afraid of that. So I have to find a set of King Hauler Stacks... maybe I can adapt them. I know a guy in Idaho (like anyone would go there on purpose!), who adapted Grand Hauler Stacks onto the back of the Globe Liner... which is exactly what I'm after. Just have to fill a Stack hole, drill a new hole. Easy peasy! Getting skinny, shrouded Stacks on the Grand Hauler, that might take work! THANK YOU for checking! I appreciate your efforts.
