I'd be dying here in St. Louis with no a/c! I've not been used to having it the car, as until one year ago today the newest car I'd ever owned was a 1970, but it is nice! At home I keep it at 70 degrees and that's comfortable! Yes, cutting up the chicken is easier to eat! I'm also all about that! I use broccoli crowns too! Less to toss out! Thanks for another great recipe! When I've emptied out my freezer and defrosting it I'll resume cooking new things again! My absolute very very best to you and yours!!! Take care!

My husband likes his veg VERY soft. His celery diced, his fresh green beans and his broccoli all cooked for 4 minutes. I know i know but the Instant Pot is able to accommodate all tastes. He is 92 now but even at 52 he liked them overcooked, not this much but not as i like mine. I want the texture. Thanks Flo. My basmati rice i cook for 4 minutes rinsed and a slow release for 10 minutes. Be perfect with you chicken teriyaki. Might be dinner tonight since i have some boneless skinless thighs i can cook and a bag of broccoli just waiting to be overcooked. (grin)

Haven't tried it yet but, this comes to pressure with so little liquid? Like less than a half cup?
@Hacker-xe8yv Жыл бұрын
Made the dish using cut up chicken tenders. All was fine but no sauce to speak of. The bottom of the pot had maybe a an eighth to a quarter inch of liquid left. Skipped the corn starch slurry and just used whatever liquid was left in the pot. Perhaps the chicken thighs release more liquid?

I like the recipe, and it looks great after trying this. I wouldn't say it's 20 minute recipe though... First pressure cooking phase takes at least 15 minutes, then another 5 minutes for broccolis, then thickening of the sauce. With prep time, that could easily take 40 minutes in total xD

@@FloLum I'm in Edmonton, and these days, the Humidity hits 95+% at night, usually about 55 -60% during the day, and we are a long way from water. I was sent on a Mission, by a couple of Asian women friends back home, to a Specific Meat Shop in Parker Mall to get 30 lbs of Chinese Sausage. I did report the Shop to the Vancouver Health Inspector, after Witnessing one of the Butchers putting a Piece of Raw Chicken directly on to the Scale, that was being used to weigh Cooked/Prepared Meats, and not Disinfecting it after.

Spoiler alert! It will... what happens is... the Instant pot will heat up, then, as soon as it reaches cooking temperature and pressure it goes into "keep warm" mode (or it shuts off entirely to do a "natural pressure release") you can do a "quick release" if you so choose.
