It's far from a sim but Crysis has a really good tank battle, featuring multiple friendly and enemy tanks/APC that you can fight or capture at multiple ranges. Vehicles have limited ammo and shells drop off so you might have to abandon your starting tank and ambush the enemy onfoot with C4 and rocket launchers.

This campaign and this mission in particular is to date my best videogame armored vehicle experience. Steel fury is great but it's limited by the tech of its time and is a bit of a pain to get working, GHPC is on its way there but lacks infantry still. War thunder ground is just a fancy team deathmatch at the end of the day, the maps are all tiny and close quarters, let's not bring up the horrendous grind. Can't speak for steel beasts.
