Bro just own it, I do, and I just say, hey I like some good animes but I’m not one of those weeb weirdos, they are just very vocal. A lot more people in our age group (I assume we are probably close in age) watch anime than people realize. Although you have to admit, that some parts of anime are fairly cringe like these guys sometimes. I try to just look at it as “the Japanese have a different cultural perception of these issues than I do, sad” where as these guys look at it and go “based” and not all animes have those cringe elements. It makes me upset though, I’ll be watching a new anime, enjoying the story, and all of a sudden the main character grabs a woman’s breast without her consent. And then I have to decide whether that bothers me more than the rest of story is good.

@@brettthewilder2338 I'm not a fan of wrestling but I can only assume that the reasons are the sense of exaggerated physical spectacle involved coupled with the very simplified, constant, and obvious narrative shifting of its characters between dichotomy and duality as protagonists and antagonists. It's like Shakespeare, just with the genius poetic language and all philosophical, political, emotional, and spiritual inspections removed, leaving only the more base elements that were very specifically what most appealed to groundlings. Also, a safe and socially acceptable option which allows one to embrace and enjoy overt displays of homoeroticism without ever being forced to question one's sexuality or fear being outed. That's undoubtedly part of it for many (but not all) wrestling fans and I'll never be convinced otherwise.
