The sheer will to not trip and to get away from the tail and the intense music hitting your ear really made the DS version of terminal velocity special. The Wii version is fine :/ just use super sonic. It's easy without it either way.

super sonic is post game in wii isn’t it? The stages also serve different purposes in each game, too. Act 2 is where the feeling that the DS version has is, and is personally more impactful (for me anyway). I personally enjoy the aesthetic of the wii version too although the clear view of the ds version is awesome as well. I just like the stage in general tbh

What made this better? It just felt epic running back to earth as the floor you run on was crumbling apart and eggman is harassing you during the escape. What makes it worse? The camera’s set angle makes it painful to react to obstacles in time with how fast you’re forced to move what with said egghead harassing you.
