It actually is true as there was a comic released that tells of that exact event. And it was true all the way in the fact the terminator was not completely reprogrammed yet, and I believe when they were gonna deploy the virus, it then awakened and exposed their base and killed Perry.

I think that canonic ending - Jacob refuses to go to the past. The reason why I think so, is that he can't land in the same past he lived, because in 1991 John, Sarah and T800 destroyed Cyberdyne systems, so he can't land in the same past. His options: 1) Arrive to the timeline where Judgement day happened in 2003, but James Cameron doesn't consider it as canonic, he told that for him, the terminator's story ended in the second part. 2) Jacob may arrive into timeline where Judgement day was canceled and never happened. However, in case if we choose to send him into the past, we see him helping his past self to survive, it simply can't be. So I think Jacob stays in the present, in case Jenifer is not dead.

Imo baron is really just a petty and horrible person in general, she took other issues around her personaly even though its really her fault(seriously? the guy warned you the experiment is not done and you just ignored it? No shit it failed, karma killed perry, not mack) And idk why no one else brought this up, rivers is right when he said baron is kind of not needed in an era of peace, since she is more likely going to cause conflict, and with a lot more people supporting her, this can even cause a civil war after the machine is dealt with

I chose not to kill Mack, because over time I realized after finding out it was out of Baron's personal grudge when Mack was innocent I did not want to be a tool of anyone's vendetta, and I really lost whatever respect I had for that hotheaded Bitch.
