Production IG is the studio behind the entire Ghost in the Shell anime (movies and tv shows) - which def is an inspired choice

I think Hollywood heard the news that Comicpop was starting a new show for trailers and wanted to give content to the *leaders of the zeitgeist.* That's the only way I can fathom Terminator not being put in the ground for 15 years after the last attempt.

Timothy Olyphant is voicing the Terminator in the show and the fact that it is set in Japan makes it more interesting. We aren’t just dealing with the same people over and over again.

@@DanV900 The Connor story got old, apart from TSCC, but I didn’t like Dark Fate, only thing that was cool was Carl, and the REV-9….. Grace was less impressive than Marcus Wright, they should have made Grace like an I-950 infiltrator from the comics.

Production IG has a long history as a studio. Theyre most famous for Ghost in the Shell, but they also have done some of my absolute favorite films, including all three Patlabor movies, and Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade (an absolutely brilliant film)

Production I.G? Eh, if you're gonna make an anime about Terminator, get the people behind Ghost in the Shell. The 2D Animated Terminator and releasing it on Judgement Day has my attention. Even though this franchise has been mostly deathly quiet, I am happy to see it's never truly gone. This franchise is still out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever. And hey. Anime on the channel!

That comparison is pretty much it on the nose, for both franchises. The first two in each franchise were good movies, and then the quality never really recovers.

The animation studio is Production IG. They just worked on some small stuff like Ghost in the shell, End of Evangelion and FLCL. Mattsom Tomlin was uncredited onThe Batman

Mattson Tomlin who co-wrote The Batman has said it is going back The Terminator with the horror. It is set in Japan with a woman being sent back from 2022 to stop a terminator from killing a man who is developing an AI that is competing with Skynet. I’m very excited for it.

Did you ever read Terminator: 2029 to 1984? That was a great comic even though I could see people not like a certain twist. I did really like The Burning Earth. Robocop vs Terminator which I know you have covered is a lot of fun, but Frank Miller didn’t care about the lore at all.

"Who asked for this?" Well, many have desired a more horror-themed Terminator entry, absent of stupid jokes as well as not completely dependent on action. For it was the menacing terror in T1 that began the IP, and deeply impacted audiences around the world.

Has there ever been any exploration of who invented time travel technology? Seems like there's been a crazy amount of focus on the development of the ai hardware/software and the cyborg tech but nothing about what both sides have been trying to use to win for 6 movies and tv series.
@DanV9004 ай бұрын
We know Skynet did it with Kyle Reese mentioning that Skynet sent the terminator back and then he volunteered. Then the opening of Genesys started with what James Cameron wanted the opening of T2 to be with the storyboards where the Resistance discovers it. In the Sarah Connor Chronicles, we find out in the pilot how someone was sent back in time who knew how to do time travel with the technology available. That person would have had to figure it out by studying Skynet’s time machine.
@Hi_Just_Fred4 ай бұрын
Basically skynet created time travel in a desperate attempt to destroy the human resistance before it was ever formed. It's not seemingly a human creation just something they appropriated after finally winning the future war just trying to prevent it from ever happening to begin with.

Massive T1/T2 fan, I love the look but hate the animation style. It just looks a bit clunky or janky. I can't put my finger on it. (I don't watch animes so that's probably it, I'm not used to it.)
@jollyrouger29454 ай бұрын
I’d like a terminator were sky net sends back a terminator to stop the rebels from stoping skynet from being made. Unlike in T2 it would be the literal inverse a Terminator sent to kill a time traveling rebel hunting the programer that codes skynet
