A Non-Electric Tern!!! Plz release the Short Haul D8 in the US!!! I'll proudly and responsibly represent the Tern brand at school, the farmers market, library, etc. in Fayetteville, AR and beyond!!!!!

Pretty good so far. These fit in a cyclehoop locker. The chain guide makes for a rattly experience. Not quite as fun geometry as Orbea Katu. Better build than a ridgeback errand which has extremely long top tube stretch and vague front end as a result and does not well in a cyclehoop locker.

Update! Remove the Chainguide and the huge drivetrain drag and incessant rattling disappears. Not sure why its there, perhaps for a centre stand. The supplied kick stand is terrible and the bike will fall over as soon as you fit a pannier. The ergonomics of reaching it to operate are poor - Centre stand is a must, Gearing is high. It is a bike that needs a motor and you will be fitting a bafang motor in short order. It is a great way to access ebiking though. I've not had great expereiences with manufacturer fitted motors and support. I have fitted 5 bafang motors now and all are functioning great. One component failed and was replaced in 24 hours. Shimano took over a year...and required a letter before action.

Why dont need a lesson on how to ride a bicycle. People buying a cargo bike have like owned and ridden a dozen different bike in the past.

Safety fail -helmet use. Only passive suggestion using models wearing helmets vs mentioning in dialogue or having speaker using a helmet. Using a helmet is one of the easiest/simplest safety measures a rider can take. Also from a dealer posted video -the short haul has a pretty low overall weight capacity. When including the bike, parts and real-world average people weights, there isn’t much latitude left involving the maximum weight spec eg over weight dad with a kid. Despite my criticisms, yes, this bike look interesting, and yes I would consider this model.

Thanks for the comments! We are a global company and in many countries that have dedicated bike infrastructure, it is not viewed as critical as other areas. The Short Haul is an everyday bike that can carry more. If you are looking for a dedicated cargo bike, then a GSD or HSD is where we would point you.
