Tern Orox: Owner Briefing

Watched over 20 different independent reviews. The whole point for the Tern Orox is being able to load it up to max payload but no one has tested it in this configuration which everyone wants it for. We have no idea the mileage and performance loaded to the weighted brim on different offroad wet and dry terrain. PLEASE REACH OUT TO THOSE DOING REVIEWS TO DO MAX WEIGHT LOADED REVIEWS! 😊 THATS WHATS GOING TO SELL IT! Adding suspension to this that can be adjested when loaded to max capacity would be genious. I only wish there was a slightly longer tail version like the Surely Big Fat Easy which you can really load long tools onto.

Please share a picture of Orox near GSD. I would like to see the difference. Orox seems to be a lot higher and taking more place standing up.

This bike is in direct competition with "hunting" bikes like Bakcou, Rambo, Rungu and Warthog...so why no suspension? How would it fair against those?...or a longtail Surly or Yuba?

How long to charge 2 batteries also what is the distance KM with 2 batteries

Great questions! 
 For a single battery: 50% charge: Approx. 2.6 hours / 100% charge: Approx. 6.9 hours For two batteries: 50% charge: 5.2 hours / 100% charge: 13.8 hours On a single charge, you’ll get up to 100 miles on a single battery & 200 miles for a dual-battery setup. (Of course, range will vary depending on weather, terrain, cargo, passengers, rider, etc.)

@@ternbicycles interesting .. second question say i wanted 2 of these bike for family world tour … starting Europe and at one point flying with bike say Singapore to Australia.. cant fly with batteries how easy to get those batteries in Australia and usa

@@user-kq1fq5jp1j if you charge them through the bike cradles, it will charge them simultaneously, but will take the same amount of time as charging one after another. If you get a second charger, you can speed up the process ;)

Can the wheels be converted to tubeless?

Yes, you can run tubeless on your OROX stock rims. We created custom double-wall rims for this purpose. We would recommend using tubeless tires and being particularly meticulous about applying the tubeless rim-tape. One caveat: when carrying heavy cargo, our tire manufacturers recommend using a tube setup over tubeless. Maintaining proper tire pressure is also key if/when running tubeless so the tire bead is properly protected under all situations.

The bike is fantastic, but how do I get it to the workshop if a defect makes it impossible to ride it over long distances? There should be a pick-up and delivery service, or a mobile workshop that can repair it at home

This is a sick bike but you made a huge mistake by using the problematic ahead clamp system instead of the quill. It's impossible to adjust the handlebars and you've forced everyone into the scrunched bent over racing position! Huge fail.👎🏾
