Terowie, Ghost town. Creepy vibes.

In this video, we visit and stay the night in the ghost town, Terowie in South Australia. We also see the ruins of the Dawson Hotel and some great South Australian scenery.

Bahahahaha, i could tell some tales that would make it a lot creepier. That "free camp" is littered with asbestos, Kev's scrap yard is just because the dump closed one of my Dads oldsmobiles is there. at 4:10 you were about 150 meters from the house where Martin Mefferts remains where found, that's probably where you got "the vibe", it was on the next street back from main st right behind the house you said obviously someone still lives there.

When i was a boy Ter-ow-ie was a large railway town the railways shut down and the people moved out

@@kayenash5481 True. From what I heard is that the train line got shut down. That caused locals to leave town.

@@trackexplore thought that might be the problem, plus if a Highway passes the town it can have a big affect too. There is a opening there for people to start up a few attraction.

@@kayenash5481 Yes, it's on the Barrier highway. There's a roadhouse too. Wasn't busy at all when we were there though.

Terowie used to be a junction with three different gauges of railway lines. When it went single gauge the railway in the town died.

How many people were living there? Two years ago there was a shop for basics, a petrol station, and 100 people living there.

No, we were in Victoria. We crossed the border into SA near Bordertown. We travelled the back roads end ended up in Terowie.
