Ben H yup, if pharmaceutical companies can’t make their money off of it they will do everything in their power to make sure it isn’t used or promoted as a cure or to relieve and medical problem. If they had control over all the sales then it would be used for everything.

@@canonphoto Exactly. Recent studies in Canada and Detroit(?) have proven when given the choice between HERB and PILLS for pain management, after 6 months most people choose Herb. That tells us EVERYTHING we need to know right there.

lmao this dude is full of shit. im an organic chemist. if they knew what they where talking about they would tell you about how terpenes convert to benzene and other similar highly toxic molecules when smoked. but who reads real lab reports anymore? no one, u fucking people just believe what u like to hear. look up the lab report from Portland university on the dangers of terpenes. its basic organic chemistry, and i already know these fuckers know none of that, they will just tell u what they need to so u buy shit. if u are smart u would buy terpene free pens. READ FUCKING UNIVERSITY LAB REPORTS IF U WANT TO LEARN ABOUT SCIENCE

sure terpenes in small amounts wont harm u, even your morning coffee toast and butter has cancerous byproducts from cooking. but if u read this study in portland u will see the exact numbers of how much more concentrated terpenes can be very harmful over time

@@beefcakefpv7913 That's my point. There's an obvious disconnect with the consumer -- and I find that troubling with a psychoactive substance that's trying to gain legitimacy and respect in the marketplace. I find the lag on consumer education, nay, the lag on education and training on the sales side about as troubling as if I went into the pharmacy with a question and they told me it's none of their concern. From what I've experienced, the interest is in pushing product rather than responsible advocation.
@ignisfatuus
@ignisfatuus 4 жыл бұрын
@@beefcakefpv7913 And to clarify, my original comment was in response to where he spoke about guiding consumers to appropriate strains. Maybe some of these new sleek dispensaries I now see have worked this angle better -- if that's the case, I hope they put the awful places I've been to out of business. I started smoking a couple years ago and was repeatedly disappointed by cannabis service staff -- that's my beef. I figured enough out through blind fumbling and now grow my own -- but not everyone has that luxury.

I love Terpenes and believe in them! Along with cannabis and hemp! At the dispensary every patient I have the pleasure to interact with I ask them if they know about terpenes and share some info about it. I refer them to your video here to get them started with there new awareness! It's great for them because the dispensary can be very busy and very stimulating some times. It gives them the chance to invest more into their new found awareness. I look forward to learning even more! Thank you Kindly!

Terpenes have their own individual pharmacologic effects which have applications for both medicine and recreation. Terpenes can do other things besides just simply acting as stand alone molecules. For example they can aid in the absorption of other medical components in cannabis products. These synergistic aspects of botanical formulations and terpenes are fascinating in terms of their medical and recreational potentials.

Long before I ever heard of terpenes as such, I was convinced of the synergy that happens with certain strains. Weed that smelled strongly like pine and/or lemon consistently seemed the best for me whether my friends thought it was great or not, and some strains that others raved about didn't work any better than brick weed for me. Right now most of the marketing is centered entirely around "chasing numbers" but the stuff with the (supposedly) highest THC content isn't always the best for some people.

@Sam Armstrong yeah I think it depends a lot on the individual in many cases. Never believe the hype. You just have to try some different stuff and see what woks for YOU. There's WAY too many people out there calling themselves "experts" who will claim only this or that is any good, or they "know" one is right for you within 2 minutes of meeting you "because it's sativa" lol... and you'll notice those "experts" and budtenders are usually real young ;) And sometimes they're just trying to get rid of whatever they have too much of, like any other salesman.

Honest opinion: I got a lemon bean (cannabis) strain smoked it love how it smells but it makes me puke. Afterward I realized believe it just is after a big toke and its just so strong. it keeps happening after the first to second hit in the beginning of smoking after getting really heavy breakfast. i guess lemons can be a super powerful stomach type of strain... Maybe? I love all weed! Only thing is I love indica and this one is a sativa category.
