Terra Nil is an absolute gem. I don't think the recycling stage design is underdeveloped, I think it's just the game requires Some forward-thinking the newer players struggle with at first. Actually you need to think ahead quite a bit if you're trying to reinvigorate a biome to 100%, because you have to map out in your head what territory can be purposed for animal reintroduction, and how to place them all together to achieve maximum biodiversity. Good thing the game is very lenient for new players and mistakes can be pretty easily reprimanded. Though, sometimes you can softlock yourself, and just starting from scratch will be much easier than trying to model the map to your liking. The game does tell you this too, actually, and I think it fits into the overall positive vibe of Terra Nil. Yup, some maps you just screw up first time, no worries tho, just try again on a different spot and eventually everything will grow on it's own even in that unlucky place.
