Important thing to remember about cliff construction: You can only have 8 ramps in total on your island! I got carried away with hills early on and planned a ton of ramps for my final design, only to find that I was over on my ramp count by 6 of ramps. The same can be said about bridges, but you can use land bridges and easily terraform around that problem. They really need to let us just have 16 total ramps or bridges, rather than limiting us to 8 of each.
@quopi71834 жыл бұрын

Terraforming teach me to be patience. One my favorite part of my island,is the bamboo forest/canyon. It took me a lot of time creating that part(I'm still working on it). Guys, take your time. AC is not competitive. Enjoy the process. Look for ideas and make your version of it. Make it better. And remember this game,got release recently. A good middle ground, is to work with the land rather than go full island reformat. I'm keeping my general river layout and cliff placements, other than tearing down one tier-3 small cliff, and the only really big change is, I'm tearing a "caldera" into the middle of a tier-2 cliff, putting waterfalls around the edges, filling it with cedars and the campsite. Instant woodsy area.

@akudumb30214 жыл бұрын
Lapis Lazuli It’s only an illusion!
@walterr67764 жыл бұрын
I think the same thing. But it's likely because of 2 reasons: 1 - we know where everything is on our island, whereas when we visit other island, we don't, so it seems bigger. 2 - our island isn't developed and our buildings are still in the same position they were at the beginning. Remember, at the start we only had access to a little area, so we had to make the most of that space for buildings. If your buildings are still in their original position and not spread out, the rest of the island you can now access is still empty, but since you only go as far as your buildings, it seems small. Once developed with paths and buildings are moved around, it will seem bigger, because you're not running only 10 feet from building to building.

I wanted a boardwalk along part of my beach! I loved that in New Jersey and I really like it in my game! My villagers actually hang out there eating snacks and playing with "games" and things that you'd find on the boardwalk. I also fell in love with a town in Northern Jersey that has brick streets from years gone by to preserve the Victorian Era design of the town. I wanted to just share that with you. 😊 It's really neat that in this game you can make it your own town! I love it and I do leave one end of the beach without artificial lighting because my villagers have said they like that there are still parts of the island that you can actually see the night sky because there aren't street lights everywhere. I took that as a hint and left one end all natural for them except for a campfire and a hammock and a log stool but the rocks on that end I left totally natural for them and I do find them out there looking at the night sky. Heck I find myself out there looking at the night sky! This game can be so beautiful
