Got the same 20mm coil springs and shocks on my 2019 Troopy, except have the 3-leaf parabolics. Can I suggest you watch for play in the fixed (front) bushing on the parabolics. I used the Terrain Tamer pro bushes and went back to the original steel sleeved Toyota factory bush on the front fixed pin because the bush was soft and developed play. I know you went rubber but I think there is a reason why Toyota are happy with the rubber bushes on the shackles but go the heavier duty sleeved bush on the fixed pin. But the factory bush needs the smaller factory pin so don't throw them away.

Copy, great info and thanks for the tips...

Just had a look the factory bush on this model, same both ends, no collar in bush, same size fixed pin as aftermarket 1..

@@TeamBulletOffroad Thanks for the info - that must be a recent change.

Did you happen to weigh the old & new leaf packs to see the difference, or what do you estimate the OEM pack weighs? TT tell me the 4 leaf paras weigh 40-45kgs. I'm trying to work out the net added weight of switching to the 4 leaf paras.

I didn't have those scales at the time, but they were heavier the stock ones.. In 2016 when I changed over in the grey one, we confirmed that too

What do you do with air pressure in the rear tyres with the added ball weight when towing the van?
@TeamBulletOffroad2 ай бұрын
I generally leave them around the 40 and only really adjust airbag pressures..

Freebie (sponsored) or did you pay for it ?
@TeamBulletOffroad2 ай бұрын
Sponsored and really loved their product, have had freebies in the past, but also have spent money buying parts too, bit of a 2 way street, but really wanted to help them establish the best front end set up for the new 4 banger 79s

@@TeamBulletOffroad don’t forget to Mention how Much it’s costs. That seems to be conveniently left out . No good plugging a product if people don’t know what it costs
@TeamBulletOffroad2 ай бұрын
Wasn't on purpose leaving out prices, although I really don't know what they will charge, my job at present was to show a D.I.Y install and help them work out a coil rating for the 4 banger, then go out and test them towing and off-roading.. Which ever way it works out, successful unsuccessful, happy or unhappy, the videos will show all, so I won't be telling anything other than the truth.. Thanks @@trickymon

Are the fronts the smart coils with the tapered wire and progressive rate?
@TeamBulletOffroad9 күн бұрын
Not sure exact details, I did the swap over pretty quick, twice and if I fit the ARB bar ill need to go heavier again, but GEE they are comfortable..

I’ve wandered when you’re comeback to parabolics :) Year ago I’ve put same 3+1 leaf kit on the rear end and the ride is day and night difference from the stock (GRJ79 stock was 11 leaf pack)… But it is rated from Terrain Tamer as + 2” 500-700 kg constant load and I understand that as should be 2 inch higher than stock With 500 kg… well I’m fact you can choose - lift when unloaded or stock height loaded (less then 500 kg the height il equal with stock. So I think add a leaf and convert Tlc016ehdp to Tlc016ap… have you experience with 4+1 parabolic pack?
@TeamBulletOffroad2 ай бұрын
The 4 plus1 would be way too hard for me day to day driving, only a toolbox on back generally, yes the Ali tray is much lighter than the grey one I did them on being steel.. Yes getting 80mm over the factory ones, I guess if I did put some weight 400kg say it would sag 30mm giving a 2inch lift over standard, simulating a full canopy set up as many have..
@alexandermanushev31452 ай бұрын
@@TeamBulletOffroad Only one way to find out ;) yours was with 8 leaf pack from factory? Mine was 11… and yes it was hard. Now is plush when empty, still ok with 200-300 kg (Alu-cab canopy, RTT, AFN bumper…) but loaded for travel it gets lower than stock. I’m not running airbags though.

Do the terrain tamer bushes not need a collar inside?? Cheers!

They do not, factory 24 model didn't have either...

On road no, but I think I will need more trimmings up front on the bumper plastic and bracket to go off-road , will have that in next video..Cheers
