Finally found a tutorial on this! Thank you for making this video, it was simple but splendid. My father had the ENTIRE D&D set (including Expansions + Oriental Adventures) back in the late 80's but it got tossed out by his father many decades ago. I was curious if you will ever make a tutorial on building a Japanese Castle for Tabletop? I understand it can be a bit daunting due to the angles.

Japanese castles is certainly something i'm experimenting with as i would like to make a section of Ryukyu for test of honour and Pike and shotte. I'm having to look at add ons to my hotwire cutter to cut the slopes and angles correctly, i will certainly release a video when i feel confident with the techniques and tools.

Just found this, if you want an easier way to do the roofs, take some corrugated cardboard, measure the full width of the roof (both sides as if folded), then cut from one end just through the corrugation in the center for the fold, don't cut through the underside cladding, but on the side you cut through remove the cladding. Position it on the wall the same way, you did, but take a small craft dowel the length of it and slot it into the cut area on top.

Nice wall project on this old topic. Well done. Just out of interest,mine mainly! The walls at La Haye Sainte are similar the tiles being at the top. These walls are of brickwork to the front of the complex where the main gate with over head dove cote is. On the other side of the wall is where the old pond in front of the Barn used to be. Beyond the wall leading away the gate are the old style pig-pens that run nearly up to the Farm house,there being a tiny slim gate between the two. I`m a scratch - builder too and have built that old place several times along with Hougoumont and the Bella Alliance too. Have fun.BB

nice work i suscribed , you used foamy?
@worldof28mm6 жыл бұрын
Garo Gonzalez thank you for your sub I hope you find the content helpful. I'm not sure what foamy is but for this project I used extruded polystyrene (EXPS Insulation foam) which can be picked up off eBay for a few bucks or in bulk from panelsystems.co.uk.

Is that a glue, sir? A white pigment That you applied to the wall by your finger..?
@worldof28mm4 жыл бұрын
It is called poly-filler in the UK and caulk in the USA. It's commonly used for filling in holes in a wall, you can find it in most DIY and home stores.
