I'm 40. I grew up right on Clara. 30 years ago you couldn't make believe that Gangsta would turn a new leaf. Man not only was I wrong, but happy as hell that I was so wrong. This version of Gangsta is way more important than that Gangsta I knew as a lil kid in that Nolia. He is an example to anybody who wants to just live differently and for the better. There are so many NOLA steppers sitting in prison right now who had the personality to be leaders in the right way. Every community had that stepper who was loved but was too deep in that world. Eric Maurice used to give us money every day to buy snacks from the store and as a youngster, I looked up to him. When he got killed, I was confused because I looked at him as a good person, but I was too young to know that world he was living in. Now I understand and it's even more tragic.

Da officer says it's no empty cells right now until someone check out or go to the shu. We got one leaving next week but he a white boy. So dats out da picture of y'all two celling up. And once you walk to your cell/ Home for many years to come. And you tryna hurry up and throw your sheet on your MAT. And the door viciously open up and it's a MF looking like Von off 17 walk in sweaty and he loud ASF before he made it to the cell and he come in der like he like that and you can tell he burnt out ran really think this cell is home and slick saying dumb stuff like you don't know how to jail. Already frustrating and gotta gtfoh here asap and next thing he starting to bring up dumb BS like aye you holler at your shorties? You be like who he say ya homies because this really a chi town cell and you from New Orleans yo homies already should've been on that dey already knew you was coming a week ago and should've had u cell ready. You thinking to yourself like how in TF a inmate gone tell me what cell to be in ain't that's the officer's job. Shii starting to get blurred and your ears echoing and den your real ninja instincts kick in like I'm finna whoop dis Ninja ahh already and von off 17 still ranting about this your side of da locker and line yo shoes up under bed on the opposite end of his, Lectures on how to use the toilet and dry his sink Everytime you use both of "y'all" sink and hang your clothes on this hook on da wall or a peg lmmfao 😂😂😂😂 But da whole time yo main objective was to put yo bedroll on you bed and hurry up and hop in n da phone line bcuz yo homeboy waiting on you so you can use his pac# to place a call because you promised yo mother n girlfriend you'll call dem once u touched down. But von off 17 da og asking dumb questions aye wat u is GD or VL ??? And what type of time you on do you got yo paperwork,who was da last broad u was hitting out der celly? You smoke tunechi?? It's been over 45 mins you starting to have to piss bad ASF and von off 17😂 still got the violation up but u holding it in until you realized y'all finna be next on the phone and u can hold it a lil bit now. And right before lil shamar off you tube finna get off the phone von swing da hard ASF and he come out da cell without the shiesty mask n glasses. Really ugly ASF now. A thin wife beater so mfn dengy n musty with his khaki pants rolled up at the bottom wit the shower shoes on wit no socks with his shower towel and hygiene in his hand walking towards you saying aye until your homies get you some shower shoes you can use these weneva u need because hygiene is a must in "MY"Cell lol I put two beef noodles on the table if u hungry it's a bowl n my locker you can use just clean it wen u thru with it and he lean in yo ear n say I left some blk n whites under my pillow if you want to see Dem before I get out da shower. You say naw I'm good but I appreciate everything and LUCKILY THANK GOD yo homeboy just told you to come On bcuz he just left it hanging and walked off bcuz u don't suppose to share your pac# So imagine this Just like wen Dem cameras hit you every day. Everyday u Looking into your cell it's going to feel like that too broSMH it's something part of your Every day life that make you inhale and exhale every mfn time you gotta deal with it.
