Autopause is critical for some users. For one, have you ever tried terraria on mobile? Or a controller? 2. Water chests in the ocean, or dead man's chests. 3. Boss fights, getting all your buff potions, or changing builds mid fight. 4. The underworld or the dungeon where there are all sorts of things to be hit into. There is a reason it exists!
