I feel like the mod creator could have made the durability either scale with rarity or with the item's value (sell and buy price). That would allow for more variable durability, where later weapons/items have more durability than early game ones. That or have the durability only be taken off on dealing damage, and hitting targets with more defence knocks off more durability.

Maybe instead of something like that they could have the durability based off of how fast a weapon is… a chain gun wouldn’t work as well since it has low damage and burns through its durability compared to something like a sniper rifle. Giving slow weapons less durability as faster ones more could balance things a little bit more

Terraria might actually be more interesting if you had reasonable item durability with the ability to repair them using materials. At a certain point most ores become irrelevant, so having to harvest meteorite, visit hell or kill the mech bosses again to repair your favorite weapon would give more reason to do stuff you've already forgotten about.

Oh I just realized something! Yoyo bag’s yoyo glove effect was extending the durability of the yo-yos, because the second yoyo actually stays out even after the first one’s flight time is up. If you hit an enemy with the remaining yoyo or a counterweight during that time, the first yoyo redeploys without the item being used again, and the process repeats when the second yo-yo returns. Until both the yo-yos have returned at the same time, the chain continues, and it only consumes 1 durability during the whole chain.

Interesting fact about cultist: in multiplayer the lightning attack spawns one lightning bolt… PER PLAYER! this makes the fight just as hard as any other boss fight if I was to rank it’s difficulty in multiplayer about the same as the twins because unless both players are perfectly synchronized then they will get destroyed by each other’s lightning bolts. Combine that with the fact that with more players that just increases the chance to hit the wrong cultist which spawns phantasmal death-dragons or whatever they’re called along with other nasties

If this was in 1.4.1, the Venom staff would be incredibly strong, as would the spider staff and queen spider staff. They all inflict Acid Venom, which as of 1.4.1, does 30 DPS and has few enemies that are immune to it. Even all of the moon lord’s body parts can be inflicted with it. The venom staff inflicts it for 30 seconds, which is a total of 900 extra damage per use if he lets it run for the full duration before using it again. The spider staff and queen spider staff only inflict it for a few seconds each hit, but the normal spiders will stick around for 40 seconds, and the queen spider for 60 seconds. If they kept it applied for their full durations, that’s a huge amount of extra damage.

Durability might actually be fun if it's not only a few uses. Maybe it should all be based on materials and/or rarity and class. 50 uses seems reasonable for copper or wooden equipment. Summoner weapons have relatively low durability because you just summon minions with it, and not a lot, too. Way less than a bow. A yo-yo would have high durability because you throw it against the enemy, and it repeatedly hits them. I think you get what I mean.

This has nothing to do with the playthrough rather duke fishron around the 18 minutes point, but if you are a ranger and wanna beat duke easily after golem, I HIGHLY suggest electrosphere launcher as duke flies towards you, and you can stick the electrospheres on his way! Btw Overhaul mod adds this except they only get weaker.

in 1.4.1 the frost armor received a huge buff, now it grants 26% melee and distance damage, which is more than any armor that can be obtained before Plantera, also, although the tooltip says that the full set Bonus is that the attacks inflict frotsburn, it really is frostbite, a more powerful version that deals 25 damage per second.

I started challenging myself to make terraria difficult and something new to do so I thought hey on the terraria wiki there is a category under different weapon categories called other and I can’t find a good route to take without using the Star cannon because I can’t be bothered farming stars so I thought the blowpipe would be a good range weapon but I can’t get the upgraded version from the witch doctor because I need to kill queen bee and the goblin tinker isn’t spawning in so I haven’t been able to reforge you can try the challenge if you want
