Terraria, but we need to fight ENRAGED Plantera in Space...

Enraged Plantera...in space. This should be interesting. We can't leave the world boundary, and a bulb won't spawn above the underground, so I'll just have to add some bulbs.
Here's a link to the world if you want to try it, plus a bunch of other worlds. This one is called Astronomy, you can pick your difficulty (I added a Shrine of Plantera).

Just as a recommendation for future runs, if you do OOA again, the ballista rod honestly trumped all the other sentries in my playthroughs for crowd control. Though it would actually be interesting to see a comparison of all 4 sentries during OOA one day

flameburst is quite decent from my experience, I'd say explosive trap is the worst, although that's from a boss perspective, it is decent in old one's army.

@@WandofSparking Electric Aura Rod/Cane/Staff + Explosive Trap is the best I've gotten. The strategy is simple: If you stuff all of your Etherian Mana into a chest before the event ends and make sure to never open it when an OOA event isn't happening, you can store a stockpile for the next one. What I do is wait until post-Wall of Flesh for when I'm ready to fight the Mech Bosses. Then, I beat the Old One's Army without using Sentries. In my experience, Night's Edge + melee Titanium/Adamantite is great a going through the whole event (use a better pre-mech sword + Frost Armor if you want to do it even faster). Then, stuff all of the mana you got but didn't spend in a chest placed next to the Crystal and the next several events will be a breeze. For minimum effort, place 3 Electric Aura Sentries over each portal, as close to each other as possible to maximise enemy damage, resulting in all land enemies dying before getting to you, then place two explosive trap sentries on top of the crystal to kill the Wyverns. You'll still have to kill the boss, but that's easy. Combine this with conveyor belts to make sure you get the mana asap and the button to autodeposit your inventory into nearby chests and you can get hundreds of mana fast (faster if you are good enough and overgeared enough to do it without sentries a dozen times). Then, when the Tier increases you can spam sentries to make it easy. Don't forget to put up banners the instant you get them to boost it further. This is how I always do it. It takes more effort on harder modes, but I've confirmed this already works just as well on expert if you put in basic effort (and use potions).

Hey Wand! If you stand in front of player placed walls, Wyverns won't actually spawn. Not sure what contraptions you'll be making for the pillars but if you at least filled up your railway/platform with them you could prevent the headache of Wyverns when traveling across the world.

You can get souls of light and night and crystals for crystal bullets by fishing up divine and defiled crates, as long as you have a corruption and hallowed biome

many don't know itt but you can shimmer the old ones army sentries into other variations of it flameburst > lightning aura ^ V ballista < explosive trap works for all 3 tiers of them

Here's a tip that I suppose isn't as obvious as I think it is. When you're fighting things in this way, where they're frequently off-screen and you're still shooting them, use the overlay minimap. Zoom it in to a bit less than 100% scale, and reduce the opacity; that way you can see the boss icon which shows you the direction they're in from further away than you can see normally. That said, when you're at the top of the world that might make it off-centre, but who knows, worth a try.

that was one of the planteras of all time, just some suggestions use an equipment loadout for the hallowed armor to dodge an attack on-demand, could be useful later. use a cobalt pickaxe from the cobalt leggings you no longer need instead of the reaver shark. also do high speed bullets get affected by enemy s? if so, consider using party, exploding or hv bullets instead.

Did you add a spider cave biome? Those sentries are VERY useful for the OOA event. And do Angry Nimbus enemies spawn with rain? I would guess not. I would also add that traps are VERY effective against OOA enemies if you brought any.
