Seen a couple repeat questions so I'll address them here: 1. During the DAY her attacks all one shot you. At NIGHT they deal normal damage and the fight is much easier. Fight her at night first to get the soaring insignia which is VERY helpful in this fight. This was my first nighttime kill: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4bdhXuIatNmsNE 2. I don't recommend Brain of Confusion. It adds nothing until you get hit, and the goal is not to get hit. Use a damage accessory instead and make the fight shorter and more consistent. 3. Bat Staff (along with Blade Staff) has much better AI than other minions at this stage in the game. Most will struggle to even hit EoL at all, while bat staff has basically 100% uptime if you are in range. Dreadnautilus can be cheesed by hiding in a box and tanking the spins. 4. You can dye summons by using Critter Shampoo.

Ichor Flask and Sharpening Station don't work on whips, they deal summon damage not melee damage. Edit: As of 1.4.1 whips ARE affected by Flasks. Edit2: Prior to 1.4.1 whip ranged scaled inversely with attack speed, this has been fixed so do not put Sluggish on your whips in 1.4.1+.

Finally beat her yesterday and it took me around 70 attempts (I used the four classes, but at the end I killed her using the Blizzard Staff since higher dps = less time to fuck up). I chose not to see any guides so that I could discover a strat myself and I have to say, I ended up with exactly the same movement pattern as you, but you make it look sooo much easier, congrats, mu dude

0:18 The fight could've ended right at the start if it weren't for the armor's set effect. Damn I just did this fight earlier, from my experience the most crucial parts are the wings & insignia, your summoner weapon and lastly your arena. - I tried fighting EoL with frozen wings which was ironically slow for the fight as it couldn't possibly keep up at 2nd Phase, Insignia helps a lot but not enough for a crappy Pre-Mechanical Boss Wing. - I used the Raven Staff for the fight, I noticed that your Sanguine Staff summons were almost on constant aggro on EoL, compared to Raven Staff where my summons would struggle to catch up to the boss, lengthening the fight. - I was playing on a small world for this fight, it isn't the best size of world to fight into since you would always end up at the top of the map getting stuck/slowed down/aggro wyverns every time you dodge most of her attacks especially at 2nd Phase by flying vertically.

I just flew around on a broom the whole time and traded mobility accessories for more damage. Bolt + Dance combo was evil but with Hallow armor and both dodge accessories one hit isn't much to worry about.

I actually did the same in my Master Summoner playthrough. I didn't know till I beat her that you weren't supposed to fight her during the day so I had to learn all her patterns and fight her 48 times all in the day, till I finally got the combo right and beat her. I actually beat the Duke and Pumpkin Moon first so I could have access to the Shrimpy Truffle, his wings and the Tempest Staff in addition to the Dark Harvest and the Raven Staff. I used a water arena with the cute fishron, combined with Rod of Discord dismount strat. We basically have the same loadout, except for the Soaring Insignia as I didn't have it yet, so I opted to use the Brain of Confusion (which got buffed with a chance to dodge attacks) instead. Also, I wasn't constantly whipping, so the fight took way longer (10 mins. iirc) so that's really impressive you could do both, I really didn't have the guts to get that close. Awesome regardless!

I've been wondering if its worthwhile to try to use more dodge related accessories instead, I know that u have the master ninja gear and the hallowed effect but if I remember correctly the black belts dodge chance stacks with it and I think the brain of confusion now also has a dodge chance. Is it just relying too much on luck at that point or would these also be viable?

IMO, only hallowed armor is worth it due to its 100% chance. You benefit more from damage or movement accessories than gambling on a chance to dodge.

Thank you! For the arena I used dynamite to blast a hole ~450 blocks wide and ~100 blocks down from the rail (lava platform is at y100, medium world). If I had to do it again I'd make it 50 blocks wider and probably another 100 deeper to avoid those wyvern spawns.

sanguine has weaker dps than the other staffs available before golem, but it never misses and can keep up with fast bosses like EoL, unlike the other summons available.

I don't recommend BoC for this fight. I think having more damage or maneuverability from that slot would benefit you far more. I also don't recommend dropping insignia, especially if you think you are not good at dodging. Infinite flight is insanely OP and gives you one less thing to worry about so you can focus on dodging.

Yes, but it would be much harder. I would also definitely add more rows of rails if you want to attempt it. That or use a different (mount-based) strategy.

I did try the jetpack but it was just too slow in general, definitely possible if you are a god gamer though. Empress wings has the same fast ascent as the jetpack and it's much faster. Honestly, it's a bit too fast and makes it hard to do small movements like staying inside Sun Dance, something a bit slower might give better control.

Hallowed armor, unlike the brain of confusion and master ninja gear, has a reliable dodge and isn't a gamble. Unless you're insane at dodging, it's a lot safer just to use hallowed armor.

I haven't tried it myself but I'm guessing sharknados wouldn't do well in this fight because 1. they only attack when the player is near/on the ground, though you could build an arena to compensate for this, and 2. the shark projectiles are not instant and a bit inaccurate which could be bad with EoL jumping around constantly.

I forgot it was buffed and never tried it. Most likely not though as the majority of pre-1.4 minions have terrible AI and would barely even attack EoL in this setting. I strongly recommend any summoners farm a Blade Staff ASAP and use it until you can get the Sanguine Staff. The AI on those minions is miles ahead of the others you have access to at the time and will carry you hard.

I couldn't find a way to avoid the dash so I just wore hallowed armor and grappled onto something every time he charged me (if you don't move he won't hit you with the spins afterwards). If you are lucky he won't charge too often and holy protection will block the damage from most of them. His other attacks you can just cheese by hiding behind walls.

​@@Random-dj7uu Good to know. You can also outrun him with the Flying Dutchman but when I tried it my summons could barely attack at that speed and the second he stopped I got so far away I ended up despawning him twice. Hiding in a box and just tanking the spin seems like the easier method.

if you build a box to hide in its easy, only one of its attacks(the spinning one) can go through walls so just stay in there summoning your minions outside the box until it does that, either jump out the box briefly or pop a potion then carry on that's how I did it pre plantera

If you aren’t playing summoner but your playing ranged use sdmg with ichor or chlorophite (or however you spell it) bullets and just and just use the minecart method it is way easier Actually skip ichor bullets just go for chloropite (I really can’t spell it)

Hallowed hood is +3, then necromatic scroll for +1, beetle scroll for another +1, and you could also use pygmy necklace, (which this guy didnt.) aswell as bewitching table and summoning potion for ez 8 minions
