@@FirstLast-og2jo Really? I feel the rate is pretty good, about 200 crates per hour of fishing, and you only need around 100 crates to be on the safe side of a full set of everything. Ie. if you do the Angler quests everyday while playing from when your world started, you'll have the golden fishing rod + full angler set + possibly a few fishing items, and an unlimited supply of fishing skill + crate potions. In pre-hard mode, the angler tends to give out the same quest pretty often as well. So if you catch multiple fish when you go to far away biomes(ones that aren't cavern, surface, or anywhere) and store them you can turn in his quests instantly then do whatever else you were doing.

@@teddyyu2415 Yes, some key points you mentioned there that others havent. I didnt do all the fishing quests and get the golden rod, takle box, etc. Its important to fish from the start, and use the sonar, crate and fishing potions. and opening your wood/iron crates to get better bait is way quicker than looking for worms or settling for grubbies. this will speed up your crate hoarding even if it sounds counter-intuitive. Still though, 200 an hour seems high. you put in a lot of work before that to prepare for that hour of fishing. I now have the golden rod and tackle box, and I can clear about 50 crates an hour Oh, and fish somewhere where you will get Armored cavefish or ebonkoi, to further increase your efficiency. otherwise youll be back there pre-moonlord cursing every crate that you do catch.

@@FirstLast-og2jo I see. Maybe my math was off. The only accessory I was missing at the time was the Angler's earring for 10% fishing power, and I was usually using jungle bait + whatever I had stocked up from the Angler. Every 3~ minutes (crate potion length)I would get 10 crates(wooden, sky, iron, and golden all together, not just wooden). I fished for 9 minutes and got 30 crates, so it seemed pretty accurate. I always use a fishing + crate potion and have the line a minimum distance, and pull on sound. I think 200~ crates an hour isn't unreasonable. There really isn't much prep time other than doing Angler quests in the beginning and getting bait, like you said. I think I ended up opening near 200 crates total, resulted in a full set of Addy and Titanium with a lot to spare. I didn't use sonar potion either or opened crates for bait either, I think my method was rather inefficient but it got the job done I guess. Are Ebonkoi and Armored Cavefish important? I have quite a few but haven't used em' yet since I haven't really needed to make potions as somewhat a new player.

After defeating the wall of flesh a good Idea is to go straight to the snow biome and kill mobs in the underground snow biome. They have a chance of dropping an extremely good yoyo that deals around 50 damage and has a frosrburn debuff.

I had a beekeeper, a boomstick, some lesser healing potions, a vilethorn, meteor armour, and a cascade. Some further tips(and critiques): Melee: Night's edge is a waste of time don't get it, too much effort, has no projectile, no autoswing. Get the Bee Keeper instead, makes the wof fight simple as pie and early hardmode a breeze. Thrower: Thrower does not exist in hardmode don't waste your time trying to play it. Ranged: Ideally obtain the clockwork assault rifle from wof, it is far better than phoenix blaster. Minishark is too weak for expert hardmode, don't try and use it. Period. The hellwing bow from shadow chests is a way to cream wof, and can help against worm enemies and such in hardmode. Molten fury bow combined with hellfire arrows is stronger than blaster. Magic: Water bolt is too weak for expert hardmode except for combo'ing enemies using kb. Space gun is a near must. Do not waste your time with demon scythe, it is a trash spell. For accessories: Horseshoe balloon is too much work and simply unnecessary. Wings will be obtained quickly in hardmode making the horseshoe obsolete. Do not get it. Lightning boots, or ideally frostspark boots, are a near necessity. Emblems from wof are a great idea. Feral claws can be decent depending on melee class, and the obsidian shield is one of the most powerful items in the game. INTO HARDMODE: Not mentioned in the video: If you're scared by the concept from spreading biomes with the breaking of altars, go fishing before wof and mass-open crates to get free ore. Ranged: Fishing for toxicarp is an absolute and utter waste of time, dangerous, and just foolish. The weapon is garbage, and there are many better things to acquire. Notably, the Daedalus Stormbow from hallowed mimic (get 20 souls of light, make a light key, put it in a chest to spawn one and fight it in an arena) combined with holy arrows is stupidly strong against all bosses even up to duke fishron and celestial pillars. Titanium/adamantite repeater is very strong and worth getting. Magic: If you're in a crimson world, get the golden shower. This will require finding the wizard underground. If not, fish for the crystal serpent, a powerful weapon strong until Golem. If you're in corruption, and don't want to fish, get the crystal storm, it's the next best pre-bosses. Poison staff is ok, but takes a large amount of mana and shouldnt be used without a surplus of potions. Melee: Phasesaber is unnecessary tbh. If you're in crimson, the fetid baghnaks is very strong, as is bladetongue for early hardmode. Cutlass is decent if you learn to fight pirates early on (dont fight them in the open, create a lava trap, it's pretty easy to afk them). Ice sickle and frostbrand, amarok if you like yoyos, are my personal picks. Simply farm the snow biome, and you'll be fine until your first eclipse, where you should aim to get death sickle. Summoner: Spider armor and weapons are the only choice. ARMOR: If you're not summoner, get titanium armor. It can even be worth fishing for if you have adamantite instead. The Shadow Dodge of titanium is crazy good. All in all decent video but I found that a large bit of information was missing, and recommending the corruption fish weapon is just dumb lol.

Good advise. Build house with lava pits on both sides and below, with a hole in between lava pits to collect loot. Do this asap, this way the pirate army will be far easier. Pirate sword is still one of my favorite first items, cause its very fast auto, and not directional specific. Magic dagger is also pretty cool. Thanks for vid. I hate tortuses and big chests arg.

One thing that is very overlooked is fishing. If you want to jump straight into the hardmode content (Bosses and whatnot) you should before hardmode go fishing. Specifically fishing for crates. If you spend 1-2 hours fishing for these, chances are that when you open them all in hardmode, you will have enough titanium to make a full armor. This also grants you some gold, so that the leafwings will be easier to obtain.

Neon Tyler I see this every where just use this method 1. Make a box the size of your character 2. Make a 1 block gap on one side and a three block gap on the other 3. When one starts go inside the block and fill the three block gap but not the bottom one (so two blocks on top and a gap on both sides) Now when they can’t attack you use a yo-yo to go through the gap and attack

If you're a mage, you can go fish in the hallow to get a Crystal Serpent, which is a very decent early hardmode mage weapon. It's a 1/200 drop (just like Toxicarp) so it shouldn't be too bad. You can also get a Bladetongue from fishing in the Crimson.

I would suggest farming for light shards from hallowed deserts if you’re a mage, for the sly fracture and dark shards if you’re ranged, for the onyx blaster. for melee, get one of each for the dao of pow. Very easy to get if your desert is corrupt/crimson/hallow and useful through mechanical bosses

This is my guide to pre bosses hard mode( no classes ) : So before hardmode i did alot of fishing for rever shark which got me a bunch of crates. I knew that crates have hardmode ores when u go into hardmode so i just didnt use them in pre and once i reached hardmode i got loads of bars and ores to make myself a set of adamantite armour. Next you go fishing in the hallow for the crystal serpant ( Note this can take a long time ) this will be *REALLY* useful and then like in the video get yourself some leaf wings cuz y not and then go to the underground corruption/crimson and hallow and get 15 souls of light and night. With 15 of the souls you can craft a night key or light key, with them you go and put one oin a chest and it will turn into a mimic fight the crimson/corruption mimic and it has a 1 in 5 chance to drop fetted bagnag (REALLY GOOD WEAPON) then you should fight the hallow mimic with the light key in a chest and has a 1 in 5 chance to drop a deadaus which can be used agsinst destroyer and yeh then u will have a wayyy easeir time to start of with ( sorry if u dont like fishing)

I’d recommend the Demon Scythe for magic users pre-Hardmode, as the scythe moves slowly at first, possibly hitting an enemy twice, then speeds up to about the speed of a gem staff. It deals much more damage than the space gun as well.

Hey it's pretty simple (however for a full detailed version check out the Guide: Maintaining world purity on terraria gamepedia), just go to the Steampunker and buy the Clentaminator and its Ammo use that to make blocks normal again then make a full square pit in a area around your base with a good size so the crimson nevers spreads into the inside of that area.

Blitz I'd try hellavators and use them to find the crimson parts of your world. Then I'd spray it with the clentaminator to get rid of the parts where I don't want it. I suggest you leave a tiny bit of crimson surrounded by hellavators so you can get vampire knives. I also have a crimson biome so I know how annoying it can be lol

if you get the nimbus rod early hardmode, you can farm wyverns. If your good enough to get titanium, (i broke 10+ altars) Try going through the underground ice biome, then try to get the ice scythe. (Pretty rare, it can drop when you kill ice tortoises and some ice mermans.) Solar eclipses looks like they start after defeating the mech bosses. Getting the pickaxe axe allows you to mine chlorophyte, meaning. you can get turtle armor. If you set up a life fruit farm in the jungle, and get your self 600 HP you good to fight the remaining mech bosses and plantera. Chlorophyte bullets are the most effective bullet on high movement bosses.

What i did was i did tons of fishing pre hardmode and saved all the crates. Today, i got into hardmode and opened stacks of crates, and got hardmode metal bars without breaking a altar. I now have titanium armour and sword. Pretty handy.

I know I’m 2 years behind in this vid, but after multiple playthroughs I’d recommended the Spears and Pallidium set. Spears hit multiple times and do a TON of damage to regular enemies, and the Pallidium set heals massively when combined with all healing equipment and potions so you can live with ease against the mechanical bosses.

Apparently things changed, as my world got maybe a 6ft hallow jungle surface biome and no hallow cave, meanwhile my world got an extra 10%, corruption right on spawn. Thanks "fountain of clarity", your world Gen really helped out

it took me lobg enough to realize why the guide voodoo doll is used of all things, like flesh or a ritual. it meant you dont need help/guidance anymore (guide) and gets rid of help/guidance by throwing it into lava, after defeating the trial (wall of flesh) to show if you're good enough to not have help anymore, thus ending the "tutorial" (game is easy, every danger goes easy on you (like goblin armies not having the other magic enemy, monsters are childs play) sending you into the real game (hard mode) where all you learned before is put to the test

Christian Lee Aragon when an altar is broken there is a chance for a random block to turn into crimson/corruption or hallow, also beat a mech boss then get the clentaminator from the steampunker to clear it out faster

I recommend having a crimson spider nest. Place a platform and a water candle. This was mainly a night soul farm but still work for spider armour and quick money

Of course not! however since the game does provide you with bonus's for using a armor set and those bonuses are normally for one class, such as melee speed, more mana, extra range damage and so on. Ideally you make a set and focus farming the material and items for that class, of course you can easily use a sword when you are a mage or a gun when you are a knight, there's no boundaries in terraria so feel free toe explore and try out new things!

Here’s some tip that’s really good but no one does: It’s an really good early pair of wings! They’re called frost wings and made with 20 souls of flight and a frost feather, 1/3 drop from ice golems that spawn in blizzards(if it’s raining tundra will have a blizzard). Are they better than leaf wings? Maybe, but getting 1 platinum pre-Hardmode is ridiculous! Edit: They are! They have almost the same stats with the exception that you have a faster horizontal speed than leaf wings.

well im a mage on an expert world. and my tools so far are, Crystal storm, meteor staff, golden shower, fire imp staff, nimbus rod, hallowed armor for the mage, but instead of that i have rune robes and hat on vanity slot, and ive got glowing mushroom dye on it which makes me look like gandalf the glowing mushroom xD. and my items equipped are, star cloak, shield of cthulhu, mage emblem, magma stone, angel wings, and spectre boots. and keep in mind this account is still new and the twins and the destroyer is dead

I built upward and made a sky base house apartment complex thing above the orignal housing and spammed hallow seeds so now that world is like 30% crimson and 10%-20% hallow lol The crimson is literally under the hallow now 😳
