Terraria has long forgotten "Tutorial World" ─ Can we beat the game in Tutorial?

Terraria is a harsh game. It's pretty difficult with all the things that you'll have to manage ─ Dig, fight, explore, and build. But for starter, Terraria could be little unforgiving with little to no information available to them. That's why you should use Terraria Wiki!... or, you could really use the tutorial. Ah yes, that old tutorial, with its own dedicated theme (note: it now has multiple uses)! Sadly, it's not for all the version of the game... mostly, the PC. So, we use our steam workshop, to bring it here... Well, at least, on mobile version of tutorial world. some of the consoles have different worlds.

Trying the demo version of mobile terraria was fascinating. I remembered getting the lucky horseshoe from the left side of the world. I also got the grappling hook from the hellstone chamber under it and as well the "Large bomb" easter egg.

Fun fact: On the console versions of the tutorial world, there is a dungeon on the right side of the map. If you dig down far enough, underneath the dungeon is a dynasty chest with a Rod of Discord inside. This is the only Rod of Discord in existence, the 1/500 drop is a myth.

This demo world was my holy grail back when I was younger. I played the heck out of this thing, switching phones and devices time and time again once my time was up just to get a little more playtime. I loved the spear and felt truly lucky that I got the lucky horseshoe. When I was older and bought it on Steam, it felt like something inside of me had finally been fufilled.

this is making me have a burst of nostalgia. when I first got my old tablet, I found terraria on the play store and seemed to be very interested in playing the game for myself. I couldn’t afford the game back then, so I saw that there was a free version and downloaded it. I was addicted and played for several hours, even if my mom would tell me to put the tablet down I’d always say “no” because I was too attached to it. There was this one time where I left it open for so long that when I came back in, my progress didn’t reset and later on, out of no where, I randomly got a slime staff. I was so happy I got a new item I didn’t even know was so rare but unfortunately the moment I got it I crashed. Good times.

Actually, that being said about the dungeon... You don't actually need the dungeon to spawn old man/lunatic. It's theoretically possible to get lucky on the tutorial world's original Dungeon spot, place blocks there, and spawn old man/cultists.

You don't really need the dungeon, because all you need is the cultists, which has a set spawn point just like player. So you can theoretically just place blocks below the cultists spawn point and they will be spawned The thing is, you need the altar and the battery to spawn golem, but you can always bring it from outside the world

Yes, The WoF one was right, He was our worlds guardian and trapped the ancient spirits of light and dark to prevent you from dying instantly. When you fight WoF it is a test to see if you are powerful enough to start hardmode. However, the lunatic cultist was trying to spawn the moonlord but not only that, make him more powerful, faster and stronger. Remember enraged forms? Yea basically that but moonlord

The lunatic Cultist isn't purposely trying to summon the moon Lord. he repeatedly gives you warnings that an ancient evil will enslave the land, but you don't listen and kill him anyway. the lunar Pillars are the Cultist's one last chance to warn you and tell you to stop, but you still don't listen. At that point, he has no other choice but to summon the Moon Lord...

FOR ANYONE ATTEMPTING THIS: Skeletron is POSSIBLE TO BEAT IN THIS. You have to go with platforms far left (you'll also discover an Ocean biome there randomly, which allows for the angler to spawn if terraformed.) AND THE OLD MAN WILL JUST DROP FROM THE SKY RANDOMLY. ur welkom :3

Omg omg omg omg!!! I remember playing this tutorial map and “beating” it!! It took forever but it was awesome cause you couldn’t die within a certain area and that made bossing quiet satisfying!! I played 1.2 before 1.4, and beaten the game till' ocram, my first lepus Experience was a real mess, but developed a plan of not letting the eggs hatch. Ocram is a really good boss, Turkor the Ungrateful is lucky to stay as a Thanksgiving Exclusive boss. i remember this: at the console version of that tutorial world (PS3) at the left side of the world, there's an island, and instead of lava, there's a ocean deep enough to drown. you can reach that island by stuff like, a water walking potion, swimming accesories or a block bridge. and yes, if you dig down on that island, you can reach the underworld. edit: also the world includes a corruption spot underground, a mini-dungeon (without the old man) and a jungle, so you can fight eye of cthulhu and eater of worlds.

You actually can beat skeletron. I used to play this on my iPad, and if you bridge a little bit to the left, and wait for the next day, the old man will spawn from the sky and fall on the platform. Though there is no dungeon, if you do a play through, you can get skeletron loot, and get the clothier, too. You only fight him once though. Mainly because you can’t get the doll. Or actually maybe if you bridge low under where the old man spawns and make a big area, dungeon mobs might spawn

When I first heard the new music track for when it was raining in 1.4, I got so excited when I recognized it as the old Tutorial world soundtrack. I spent a lot of time on the mobile tutorial world when I first started playing terraria years ago.

this gave me so so soooo much nostalgia,i remember installing the free version of terraria mobile for the first time when i was a kid where it only had tutorial mode and options,and i got so angry when my progress didnt save(ofc it's like minecraft trial)

I remember always trying to beat terraria tutorial world, it was so fun jumping into the pit and dying in the lava, and exploring the world on a early Xbox and when terraria tutorial version was free on mobile man this gives so much memories

This was my introduction to terraria. I was so young I got stuck doing something, but I can't remember what made me stuck, but I never got passed the mining stuff till I decided to really try the game. My first version was mobile, before 3ds and pc, and eventually switch

Oh I remember this. I specifically remember struggling so hard to get to the floating island and I kept jumping off the map for fun and to see how much of the map I could uncover doing that

I remember the demo version you couldn't save the game so I played it for a hour on my tablet and then go to sleep and wake up hoping the game wouldn't have reset because of the CPU and had to restart so many times because I didn't know there was a full version nor I had money as a 9 year old, this brings back so much memories ♡

Dude I remember this. Ahhhh, the good ol days. I used to play on mobile. I remember getting a slime staff, no joke, from the one slime that the game spawns for you to fight in 1.2. I have a screenshot somewhere of it.

I used to do the tutorial world on my ps vita, this had a completely different layout: -there was no lava, but there was a massive pit of water which was inevitable to escape - there was a single demon altar which was hidden in the heart of the mini underground jungle -of course, it was just a small island -there was also a mini dungeon which had a locked chest. the only way to get the key was from the pots which spawned inside the dungeon. no dungeon themed mobs spawned there however i remember thinking to myself one day "i wonder if there is anything at the other end of the pit", and there was an ocean, and a dungeon, and this intrigued me greatly. so i would spend hours on my ps vita, and slowly progress, i never got to the underworld, and i dont know if there even is one, but this was a good memory

I actually forgot abt the existence of this world! I remembered that i tried to beat terraria on mobile in this world after finishing the tutorial and dug a long tunnel at the left side to gain access to the floating islands. I also built a very long platform to see the end of world but, i gave up due to my lack of skills. You just unlocked some of my precious memories.

I still have a physical copy of the 3DS version but having a recreation on PC is pretty neat! Great, now I wanna grab it and bring some blocks over from my current Expert Don't Dig Up character/world (just beat the Lunatic Cultist earlier today and made some small dents in the pillars) to do some more free-form building
