@@Badoopa I just reached Golem on the mage run I was talking about, it hasn't been very difficult imo... And I don't think the rest of the game will pose any problems at all since now I've got specter armor, that thing is broken... Yes, at the very beginning it is a bit difficult cuz you have no weapon(I couldn't find a wand of sparking anywhere), but gem weapons are easy to get and they're really good, with a Diamond staff, Diamond robe and Wizard Hat you can already kill skeletron and unlock all those juicy weapons after which the progression just keeps rolling. The only other class I've played was summoner and God, that was 10 times worse than mage. It was much harder to find good summoner weapons imo, as a mage I felt like I had 5 weapon options for every boss after skeletron and all of them were good enough.

@@kapharjr but the issue is every other class has a way to deal with the damage of bosses, mage having the second lowest armor and summoner only has to focus on dodging as a person who has played a lot of mage, people just keep saying its op when its only really good when you can dodge about every attack, all the other class have a much easier time avoiding damage

@@Badoopa summoners have a harder time in fights, they use whips which in most cases have a lower range than mages. You only start getting some range after Plantera. Idk, so far mage has been easier than summoner for me, especially since I got the specter armor. I just finished all the bosses and none of them managed to get me lower than 50% HP even though I skill issued some of them really hard. But who knows, maybe it's a different experience solely because I got better at the game, my summoner run was my first run ever(yeah, I started the game on master mode, I'm crazy af)

As a summoner, I like having telekinetic blades and drones that lock on to a target. Plus having machines that guard a post? Bonus. Then a floating rave crystal or a couple portal lazers? Upgrades people... And a long blade of chains to focus it all? Noice. And as a bonus, Stardust Armor set has a rapidfire punchy boi got yo back. Plus Summons can be customized with critter dye shampoo.

@@heehee3692 If you're saying this purely because of the low defense thing, that's the point. Summoner is extremely powerful as you only have to do a fraction of the work. At this expense, you pretty much are forced to learn the game's movement mechanics and utilize them to dodge and survive the attacks of whatever you're fighting. Even when I'm not playing primarily summoner in a run, I still bring summons just because they're convenient when building.

I generally main summoner and if you use full sentry set with high defense and full OoA items that give you more summons and a strategy table dropped from on of the OoA bosses I get a total of 6-8 sentries and lunar portal staff counts as a sentry and a summon so with all that gear it takes less then 10 seconds to kill moon lord with face tanking the hits
