Terraria’s HIDDEN GEM Mods (Part 2)

All of the mods featured in this mod are made by highly talented Chinese Developers. Originally I found a Chinese person at Discord that confronted me. Apparently the person knows about the legendary Chinese Developers so I established a contact and managed to try out a few Chinese Mods. The presence of these Chinese Mods have mostly been vague, which is why I am making this video. Thank you for everyone who has contributed to this big project. It was a pleasure working on this video, and hopefully you enjoy it too. This project took a very long time to make and I am glad it is finally finished.

The name is actually Apocalypse Bird, a character from Lobotomy Corporation and its sequel, Library of Ruina, and the song used for the background is the BGM of another boss of the franchise: Angela. Pretty cool tribute tbh.

There are some mods similiar to Furioso/Black Silence and Twilight mods: Da Capo, Regret, Gold Rush, Serum W. Twilight attacks aren't random, for slam/missiles use leftclick and dapanding on the apocalypse eggs right click will perform: lamp for big eyes that slows target and increases damage they get, scales for long arms, that deal percentage damage(not sure, it might just ignore dr or defence) and mouth for small beak, that deal increased damage if you got hit.

when I saw the rainbow rod fight my jaw dropped. Throughout the entire fight I was just amazed, shocked and ecstatic, the huge rainbow beams and the sync part were amazing. Can you ask yinyang if the mod will ever be public?

@@dreadsoul9633 I remember my first game had a boss that was all visual and stuff (basically touhou) while it looked cool, I’d say it was impossible (theoretically beatable but the memorization and randomness) Learned that what makes a boss good isn’t how difficult and flashy it was, rather, if it (in my opinion) posed a challenge and was not repetitive, making terreria good terreria bosses is however, far harder than it looks, balance and all that.

Twilight Bird comes from Lobotomy Corporation as well as Libary of Runia (LC is the prievious game) and "Twilight Bird" is actaully known as "Apocolypse Bird" and is a merging of 3 Bird Abnormalities that makes 1 of the 2 Major Optional Bosses and is a Boss that is straight up unkillable by conventional means and is a very powerful boss that can wipe out your whole Facility *very* quickly if you do not deal with him quickly. In LC Apoc Bird will quite literally break game rules like stopping the player from pausing and taking control of your people for a short time, along with this it has all types of damage forms in it's attacks, including one that will just obliterate a certain room if people stay there for too long. It's amazing to see the Abnormality weapon Twilight you get from beating the boss, but it's *even* better that you can quite literally summon him too! The brackground and the boss form attacks however are the Libary of Ruina linked form attacks... Absurdly well made Weapon that mimics the versions from both games... (LC with the Weapon and LoR with the Boss form)

The only thing i could criticize is the fact that some of the bosses from chinese mods are just the sprite of some weapons. But other than that...Man, Yiyang233 sure dropped the fat sweat doing that boss, he must be proud of his work, and with good reasons. And all around even some of the most simple mods are still amazing. Going to tmodloader just to see if i found any and give it a quick shot with hero, i think many of them must be very unknow for many people and that´s truly criminal. Kepp doing God´s job man, Finding your channel was truly a stroke of luck.

Discovered the Apocalypse Bird mod a moment ago on another video and saw it here too, am glad to see it gains popularity, those are the kind of mods im personally very interested in... Instead of fighting bosses, you become one. That's one of most coolest things you can do in game IMO. There's also Da Capo mod, also from same game as Apocalypse Bird's E.G.O, Twilight. Also Solemn Lament, W Serum and Black Silence's arsenary. (Forgot what the latter one was actually called.) If there's more hidden gems such as these, im all-in for these, while LoboCorp and Ruina are one of very few games i like aswell.

The only thing I dislike about the rainbow rod fight is that the end *almost* syncs well. It should be extended by like 6 seconds with a different attack, so that the white screen happens from 19:36 - 19:38 and the ending gets less repetitive because as it is it's just like 12 seconds of the same attack, or add an ending/death/defeat animation

Dude, those bossfights looks really fucking good, and the visuals looks like everything is from 1.4, that makes me think about the future of bosses in big content mods like calamity or even fargo's. If a boss fight against a rainbow rod looks like this, imagine what some modders can do with bosses in mods that actually have a progression line or even some kind of lore, the only downside i see to things like that is the "grind" you would need to do to get certain drop, but still i am really excited to see some bosses like that in the future.

Actually, the giant bird is called "Apocalypse Bird". Twilight is the name of it's E.G.O. Which is a manifestation of Apocalypse Bird's powers. What the Twilight Sword does is akin to how Twilight works in Library of Ruina: It calls upon Apocalypse Bird to lay waste on your enemies.

Not gonna lie, Having a Giant World ending Eldritch abomination as a Minion is one of the most coolest thing i've ever seen... and That rainbow rod fight tho... I just can't describe how Fricking Awesome that was! no contrasting colors that is hard to distinguish between the background and projectile, Rainbow colors that doesn't hurt your eyes, Creative and visually beautiful attack patterns (seriously, those projectiles coming in from the background was the black magic!), the battle itself is a bullet hell yet it doesn't feel overwhelmingly hard, the Giant laser is not an another resized Phantasmal Death ray, An actual good use of backdrop, Now that's what i call the Best boss fight.

you can turn twilight bird in to ultimate boss in pvp by using vortex armor stealth mode while flying it very very VERY HARD

As someone who loved using tithe rainbow rod weapon from base game, having it be amazing penultimate boss is rather gratifying
