Some people were curious about why the moon lord cheese works so here's why. Basically, moon lord has line of sight to you so the laser doesn't go through the blocks, but block gap isn't wide enough for the laser to fit through. We got this strategy from TheHaboo's old world record and it's pretty cool! EDIT: Again, because the moon lord can see us, the beam doesn’t go through the blocks. It normally will in 1.14, but we built the structure in a way that it won’t

For anyone who doesn’t follow Terraria, The Axe is the red electric guitar dropped at 11:21. It’s a 1/50 chance in Classic mode.

Having an Axe drop on my first try with planterra happened to me and I didn’t think anything of it until I was looking at one of those game progression trees hours later and saw it was a 2% drop. The game somehow knows if you’re looking for something and then gifts the ignorant with ridiculous luck

The destroyer could’ve been done much easier. What you neeed to do is get one blast proof block and set it up very far from any other block so he can only spawn there. Then you can put a ton of dynamite there and time it so as soon as he spawns he gets blown up. This will hit all of his segments at once if times right and kill him almost instantly

You have no idea. The crimson decides to spawn in the exact middle of my jungle life fruit has been a pain, and to get to the place to farm for souls of night I need to face the turtles

​@@Splatoonspyronext time you want to farm souls, you can grab pearlstone/crimstone and dig out a circular hole in the cavern layer, fill it with some of the evil biome blocks in the middle and keep it away from normal stone, this makes it so the area plays the "hallowed", or "corrupted" music so any enemy there can drop souls now.

I'm so used to watching the PBG Hardcore Terraria seasons where the Eye is the first boss seeing you both run to Skeletron first is very unsettling.

@jjbell-ri3km Plantera??? What difficulty are you playing on? On master I can kill golem with Hallowed armor and a shot bow but plantera I usually have to use chlorophyte or turtle

@@emerealm3779 Even on master plantera is a joke, the floating spores can be destroyed before they can ever hit you, so a weapon with a large hitbox trivializes them, in first phase all you have to do is run circles around Plantera to dodge its shots, and of course, you should have poison immunity in case you do get hit. Now for phase 2, you should obviously avoid touching the mouth since the contact damage is absurdly high, so you'll probably run away as far as possible, but that is a mistake, because the farther away you are from Plantera, the faster it speeds up and the faster it moves, paradoxically making it harder to avoid the farther away you are from it, the trick is to stay relatively close to it, this way, plantera will move towards you slower, and you will have an easier time dodging.

Idk if anyone else has said it, but the items you get from the dungeon chests are pre-generated. I don't remember the exact order, but they have a set order in which they will spawn. If you learn the order, you can skip to the chests that are more likely to contain the item you're looking for!

I discovered Terraria on mobile several years ago, when it's versions were really behind compared to the PC version. I grinded the game so much, I really loved it. I eventually found a duplication glitch and from there on, tried all possible armors, weapons etc. But the Pumpkin Moon was really a challenge. Later, Duke Fishron came and it needed a couple of tries but after a while I got all it's drops. That game is simply incredibly cool!

Heres whats going on: In the source code, there's a class named "Tile" designed to store details about each tile, like its type and frame. Interestingly, the class doesn't directly include an "x" and "y" position. Instead, these positions are computed while iterating through a 2D array containing these "Tile" objects. Through some clever mathematical calculations, rendering begins at the "cameraX" position and goes up to "cameraX + windowWidth" horizontally, and similarly for the vertical axis. This takes up a load of ram, but not a lot of cpu power.

Lunatic cultist glitch: if you make a platform just under the dungeon ceiling, only a few attacks can hit you (I.E. Ice shards + stars). Just need weapons that'll go through the wall!

you shouldve went into the caves to find a gravitational potion, then use it to find skylands in hopes of a starfury. if you DO find it, use it to kill eye of cthulu for the shield of cthulu. (optional) find your worlds ice biome and head on over to the dungeon in the direction of the ice biome. find the old man, wait till night, summon skeletron. and keep spamming the starfury's charge attack on a long arena. this should save around 25-45 seconds if done correctly.

although most people are of the opinion it takes most of the fun out of RNG and the speedrunning aspect, i think Journey Mode speedruns are absolutely incredible, especially in multiplayer where consolidating key resources for one person to research and then dupe for the partner is an added variable to keep track of. on top of that, it means you can get ABSURD builds relatively early on and just shred through the game at breakneck pace. and that's what speedruns are about, after all!
