well, they have no other choice, because this is the last update and Terraria will be abandoned by the official developers :(

The modding community would've done the rest by themselves like they always do and everybody would've been happy either way. Re-Logic literally went out of their way to make this an official partnership. You almost never see anything like this. Is this going to earn them any money? Definitely not, they probably had to spend some to make this possible and pay the tModLoader team. They did this because they want the game to be even better, at no monetary incentive. Actually, at no incentive AT ALL. Nobody asked for this, everybody was happy with modding as is because it was already working really well, they didn't have to do anything and everybody would still sing them praises. So yes, they definitely had another choice. And that another choice was actually the one which 99.9% of the developers would've taken, because from a financial perspective it's the correct choice. This is one of the most pro-consumer things I've seen a gaming company do.

It sounds like event music. Slime rain event will get it's on music but I don't think this one fits it so it's probably for a new event. Or who knows, maybe for one of the new bosses or duke fishron

Story about my terraria experience: I bought the game for the first time on console and beat the game without defeating duke fishron but I just couldn’t be bothered. Then my PS4 broke and I got a pc which I downloaded Terraria on and got the 1.4 update. Proceeded to beat he game and even defeated duke fishron but I didn’t get all of the achievements. After finally getting another PS4 I got my old account back allowing me to re download terraria but this time I would play with my cousin. We had some worlds where we just messed about until we actually tried. Wishing around 10 hours we defeated Skeletron eye of cthulu and the eater of worlds. Then my cousin proceeded to make a safe while I was not looking -20 gold man that sucked I was actually Saving up aswell for a mini shark. I don’t remember where I got it but I know I also had 19 gold so I put that in the safe. For some reason, when his good stuff was actually in the safe he decided to sell it for 4 gold. And I had my 19 gold in that safe. So far, -35 gold I know I can get that 19 gold back but the math results in me only getting 1 gold less then when I started. We did some pvp for fun and for some reason i had 4 suspicious looking eyes in my inventory soooooo……. I won most of the fights. It mostly ruined our showbox but oh well. I don’t even know why I wrote this comment. Well I don’t have anything better to do

Terraria has always had so much potential to never die, every mod made for this game works because of how weird Terraria is you can chuck a boss called giant booper glopper which looks like a duck but is wearing a vest, a top hat and crocs. It is amazing how Re-Logic has given this community even more life after death as if it were like Iron Man have to snap the glove ultimately killing himself but saving everyone else in the process, thank you for everything you amazing devs and I can't wait for future games!
