@@Terraw no piercing, but they stick like the spider minions, so they would be hitting every frame forever, because the cells just keep shooting onto the enemies, and since they do way more damage than the spider minions, they would be the second best overall most likely

small note: the stardust dragon head, body sprite 1, body sprite 2 and tail are different types, but the game makes all of the segments copy the head's static immunity. This kind of immunity doesn't have a name in the code, but I've seen people call it "shared static".

It's an Attack, she doesn't do Contact Damage, and honestly she's not very good in either situations.@@thenarwhalmage

terraprisma does overlap with enemies whenit hits, sometimes more sometimes less so probably some jump in performance stardust cell wouldn't probably change much as it fires a projectile which doesn't pierce, the sticking of it to enemies is just a visual to indicate the debuff the put on enemies

Probably not that much better since Cell staff does Projectile and DoT, and Terraprisma acts like the sanguine.

I believe in that case, if it was hit with a weapon which has 1 extra update, the *second* update would hit but not the first.

Presumably it'd alternate between hitting on the first and second update of a frame, effectively alternating between 7 and 8 frames of immunity - imagine them lining up like this (5 updates immunity here, # = hit): x# xx xx #x xx x#

I'm not all too sure why no I-frame removal mods effect minions prior to the one used for this video. The only reason I could think of is balance; but like.. isn't the point of these mods that they're _supposed_ to be imbalanced? Doesn't imbalance just come with the territory?

you can actually go to the workshop page and see a little heated debate between the players and the author on why summons still have i-frames. the author believes summons to be too overpowered, whilst everyone else argues that overpowered is kinda the point of the mod.

It was because minions are coded a bit differently. In this mod the minions have been changed to use local s which make them significantly stronger, even without removing s. So yes, it's because it's annoying to code.

I noticed he said in Vanilla, the stardust dragon's segments can only hit one at a time, so what's the point of having multiple segments? So the best endgame summon wouldnt be a full length dragon? Maybe a one segment dragon alongisde another minion. If that is the case, would would mathematically be the best minion combination for overall DPS on single targets and CC?

It has multiple segments even when at length 1 so it can still animate being noodley properly, similarly to how all the other wormlike things in the game handle it
