Usually where Julio’s name is AJ Greene is in the conversation. They’ve been compared since high school. I’ve always given Julio the nod. I think he was a harder worker and just more physically dominant. Aj may have had better god given talent and hands at one point but Julio just continued to out work him. And AJ came into the league as the 1 and only target essentially in Cincy. Julio came in and had Roddy White who at the time was top 5, Tony Gonzalez arguably the best TE in all of football, Harry Douglas an awesome supporting role WR in his time, and ATL had a fairly good run game with Michael Turner.

Julio is incredible and a top 10 WR ever, but AB has always been better, before he went crazy it was the overwhelming opinion he was better than Julio. It’s why AB would average the same amount of yards but nearly double the TDs. It’s why AB won 1st team all pro 4 straight years and Julio only won twice…and even in those seasons that were his very best he was still only the WR2 because AB got more votes for having even better seasons. It’s why AB was the highest voted of the 4 WRs on the all decade team over Fitz, Megatron, and Julio.
