Unlike the Dez Bryant return, I think TO could provide a lot of help to an NFL team. Not picking on Dez but he came back a little overweight and very slow due to the knee injury. TO has remained in the same shape since he last played 10 years ago. Look at him in these recent videos. Hardly any body fat, ran a 4.4 two months ago and can still run good routes and catch all passes. You can see the level of maturity he has developed over the last few years. It’s all about second chances and this man deserves one. 🏈

@Michael Jurek How? 47 year old T.O. ain't beating nobody deep. You think he's outrunning 22/23 year old DB'S? I could see him as a short yardage possession receiver but you have to be durable to play that role. I don't see T.O.sacrificing his body at league minimum salary just to get a 3 yard first down. His ego won't allow him to be anything but the superstar.
@jtremaine23
@jtremaine23 3 жыл бұрын
Agree and disagree. Some athletes are faster and more skilled now but we still haven't seen a running back like Barry Sanders or Bo Jackson or a DB like Prime Time. Jerry Rice wasn't the fastest or tallest but he actually caught more 50+ yard TDs than Randy Moss and pretty much every WR playing today. And they pass more now than ever but his work ethic was 2nd to none.

I believe the Patriots in 2011 should have looked to sign T.O instead of getting a washed up Chad Ochocinco who had lost his quickness and just was not the same. He did not have the work ethic of T.O and got washed up quick. The 2011 Patriots were very close to winning it anyway despite Ochocincos lack of contribution. With T.O they might have beaten the Giants. They had Gronk, A. Hernandez , Welker, Edelman and Deion Branch. They decided to Add Ochocinco. T.O would have done way more there. I legit 100% think they would have won that one with T.O. The leadership was strong in that locker room that I believe T.O would have bought in. He had still some left. I believe he had 2 more years left than what he actually ended up playing. The team must have a strong leader at QB and HC. Patriots had that in Brady and Belichick. Cowboys did not. Romo was a loof and The coach was a no show. it was always Jerrys show and he ran things. In the 90s they had a leader in QB and HC before Jimmy got fired.

Here’s the one thing i noticed that might make an organization hesitant to sign T.O.: he never mentioned wanting to come back to win a Super Bowl since he does not have a ring as his main reason for wanting to come back. I definitely think he could still play at a high level, but is it a team-serving or is it a self-serving motivation? What does a team gain from hiring a 50 year old WR? You're not going across the middle at 47.... and I don't blame you. Little things like that have to be taken into consideration. There can be no limitations on what you are willing to sacrifice in the sport of football....the second you have to second guess if you can absorb certain contact you gotta go because there are literally 100s of younger player's who don't have those insecurities.

If anyone can do it, T.O. can. Aside from Lebron, I haven’t seen a more disciplined athlete.

The Patriots should have called T.O. as soon as they signed Cam. They had nobody else.🤷🏿‍♂️ But they dont want to see that. "They"preach faith and change, but only how "they" see fit.

Tebow with the jags was a mistake. TO back after all this time would also fail ultimately. He got injured back when he was active, imagine him getting an injury now......

TO stop begging please man. You’re an All time Great. Focus on training the next generations. Be a coach. We don’t want to see some young bul thrash you like they did Brett Favre.

Yup, he’s right.. the Jaguars front office randomly had an idea to call Tebow to come play TE because he’s white. Cmon man, makes perfect sense

You play a position that requires speed TO and you're pushing 50. You had a great career despite the Behind the scenes controversy. You can be great elsewhere

I agree with you T.O. Hasn’t let go yet. Sharpe was being honest. Don’t let physique fool, yeah he looks amazing but he’s also a 50 yr ol man. That recovery not gone be as sweet as 25

True. He lost a good bit of muscle mass. A lot of you look at his most recent workouts. He may be more fluid. Still stronger than most nfl receivers though lol. He went one one one against Jackson state defenders a few weeks ago. He looks like a starting SEC receiver at minimum

Tebow shouldn't have been given a shot and as I recall T.O. was really bad for each locker he was apart of. He didn't finish his career to his satisfaction but that has a great deal to do with him.
