Thanks! Cinematic Studio Series makes up the foundation (woodwinds, brass, and strings). For everything else, I use a mix of different libraries, including Symphony Essentials: Percussion, Orchestral Essentials I, Garritan Personal Orchestra 5, and a few custom sample libraries I've made myself (piano, muted brass effects).

Brendan and I each have our own approach and style, which has evolved over the years. Plus, there have been other composers who were brought in at different times. When I scored my first Pencilmation episode in 2017, I tried to mimic the sound of previous episodes. In 2020, I just went full orchestral, because that's what I'm most comfortable doing.

@@svetlanarocha They brought me in November 2020 on a freelance basis. Unlike the time before, they kept giving me episodes to score every few days to a week and things seemed to be running fine. Covid was inconsequential to our production output, since everyone was working from home anyway. They brought me on full-time in March 2021, I think, but I did notice that Social Blade was starting to show Pencilmation on a downward trajectory. That said, Ross seemed to have things under control as marketing and merch plans were made and implemented. Things got a bit chaotic for me in November of 2021 because I began to have trouble keeping up with the increased number of episodes coming my way. Then at the end of the month I was suddenly informed, along with a bunch of other team members, that we were being let go, because the KZbin game had changed Pencilmation just wasn't bringing in enough to sustain such a large team. They downsized and the job of salvaging all the episodes that were still unfinished fell to one or a handful of people. Those episodes trickled out in 2022. Eventually, they brought me back as a freelancer later in the year before saying that Pencilmation production was stopped and no new episodes were made until 2023, where I was brought back in again to score the small surge of Skibidi and Banban episodes. This was the final push to save Pencilmation, I think, and production stopped again and hasn't resumed to my knowledge.

Why did they include more Pencil? Because I think they were just trying to go back emulate the older episodes more. There were two styles of Pencilmation episodes being produced while I was there, the normal modern kind and a "Retro" kind. I think the "Retro" ones tended to feature Pencil more and the original formulas, but not always.

Sometimes you can get lucky with Audacity’s Vocal Remover plug-in. With my Pencilmation music, you don’t need to bother, since they’re all on Google Drive and many are on SoundCloud. Brendan also has some of the music on SoundCloud, along with Ivan Titkov.

If you want a brass wah-wah sound, I have one available through my website for free.
