I never knew there were different kinds of Fluor pap (porridge) in the Caribbean. My grandmother taught us how to make it when we were young and we loved it so so much. But it was really simple with no bay leaves, nutmeg or cinnamon. I guess back in her days you use what you have in house.

I had this once as a very young age. They called it Pop! I'm glad you made it because I was beginning to think I imagined the whole thing as no one else ever made it again after that! Looks good! Think I'll give this a try myself. Hailing from Jamaica.

My mother and father grew up among serious hard times in Alabama and she shared so much with me but I've never heard of this. But I guess it would taste almost like farina or cream of wheat but smoother? Anyway, it looks good!

Here in Belize 🇧🇿 it’s called flour lab very tasty, don’t remember if my mom use to put bay leaf in their but I know for sure the cinnamon an nutmeg sweetened with condensed milk, we grew up on oats, custard an corn lab yummy, our neighbors use to make the plantain porridge but they were originally from Honduras very delicious as well

You can porridge nearly anything!!! I’m going to try this. Im Jamaican and I recently learned about a carrot and sweet potato porridge😱🤯. Love your content. We have to keep porridge a treasurer before prices go up on these ingredients too🤣
