Don't feel so down. It's a very cheap Marshall half-stack. Usually Marshall heads have the knobs on the bottom, but that one has the knobs on the top which means It's an MG Series. They go for about $175.00 on Guitar Center and even cheaper used. Don't even get me started on the cabinet.

Alex Higginbotham That, and he’s clearly playing with distortion (or too much of it to be specific). The real Billie Joe had two amp head’s modded to run into each other, meaning that he had all the gain he wanted with no need for a cab to amplify it. And since both amps have their gain set to 3 (diagonal left), that means that the typical combo/head amp needs to be set to 6 (diagonal right) (or just simply set it to 3 and use an overdrive (not distortion pedal) if you wanna get a more specific tone/range) to get that Green Day range. Now, there’s a pedal made by MXR to emulate his sound, so that probably would help.
