This is a brutal workout 🥵 Congrats on getting it done Gerben 👏 I had to pause a few times during the last set to get through it. One of the toughest workouts on Zwift IMO. You might want to try more cadence based workouts. I used to hate spinning up in the 90s/100s until I kept working on it. Now I’m happiest spinning at 90 RPM as my legs don’t hurt as much as grinding gears to reach the same wattage.

Yes. Spinning faster is a good way to fight the ERG mode. Will try that out 👍

lol - i just checked and also got the e-mail. any consolation, it also told me i was versatile . . . but sucked at endurance 😅 the thing i'm most interested in the new baseline content are the route based workouts. that's something i've always done informally on my own to make things interesting - curious to see how it works in their formal version of it. this workout looked pretty strong though. over unders usually provide a good training impulse.

It’s a hard workout, so asking Jesse to review it seems to be prudent. He did this before so I hope he will bite. Interested in a cycling coach perspective on this one.

Intervals icu says I’m an all-arounder and something like “Only the specialists can beat you in any discipline “. A nicer way to put it.

Much nicer indeed :D

It told me im good at attacking but lack endurance

And offering you a training program to “fix” that. 🤷

I think this proves that time is relative to your frame of reference. The 3 minutes in orange is longer than the 3 minutes in gray. As far as this workout goes, it is both great and terrible.

It’s a horrible fantastic workout. Let’s leave it at that 😂

It seems like your FTP might be set too high for this particular workout? You should be able to hit the RPM that is designed into this workout without blowing up. I’m impressed with your overall power and racing

I think it was a tad to high indeed😅

I dont think over/unders are a way (or the best way) to improve your sprint power. As I understand it a training with over/unders is a way to raise your FTP. Of course when your FTP goes up, so does your sprint speed. But specific sprint training should (I think) be shorter and pointier.
