@@ahmadmohammed4212 - Not lying but hopeful. Looks like several IPs have had a come to Jesus moment. Whether they can change course in time is definitely a question. If Lucasfilm is considering a proper Thrawn trilogy with Jon Favreau, then it is at least trying. Feige has gotten the message. It looks like Skydance is trying to figure out a way to get out of the awful Kurtzman contract with Star Trek. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dr. Who to go on hiatus again (there is a precedent for it). You can always hope.

Tracking to be better than one of the worst flops in Disney's history, and making 83 million domestic in week 3 when you need 240 million overall is not a trajectory of success. This is a trajectory of losing money. The movie is largely being driven by hype. Audiences are largely dismissing it. Why aren't we being honest about this?

His appeal is the genre bending. My daughter absolutely loved in the earlier film he just shot someone fighting back. Would never see Jason or Michael doing that. Of course he combines elements of Freddie, Jason/Michael, and Indy (wining is first - not the fight like in Raiders) so any encounter with him is by definition hopeless.

Terrifier 3 was a blast; I didn't hate Joker 2 like most people but mistakes were made and it's pretty shocking that it's bombing to this level. I thought it would hit like $500 million which would still be a massive drop off compared to the first but this movie isn't going to hit $300 million.

Damien Leone delivers extremely gory practical effects for horror fans. These are good looking movies that are profitable on the first weekend, allowing him to maintain creative control of the franchise.

Honestly , after seeing how Grace Randolph did a full breakdown on two articles , One from Variety and the other from The Hollywood Repoter regarding behind the scenes drama of Joker 2 , The general audinecs need to understand that mistrusting James Gunn and Peter Safran's overall plans for the new DCU franchise is big miskae and they need to give it a benifit of doubt once and for all

Recommend the Terrifier movies strongly. It's over the top gore and comedy, with lots of practical effects. The commentaries on the first two are excellent if you want insight into low budget filmmaking.

Crazy just this year, that Deadpool and Wolverine overtook Joker as the biggest R rated film of all time and Joker 2 is the biggest comic book box office flop of all time. WB will not learn from it though.

Never has been for the last 25 years. Just merger and buyouts until whoever buys it realizes it's a money pit billions of dollars in debt every single time. It's like kicking a can down the road to nowhere. If it wasn't for Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter 20 years ago, WB would have finished years ago.

Terrifier is an interesting case. If you watch all 3 Movies in a row, you can basically see a dude learning how to make movies. The first has no budget and is close to unwatchable. The second is a great improvment and has a plot but is a bit to long. The instinct, how long a movie has to be is not yet here. And then part 3 is a good paced thrilling horror and gore buffet. He is getting better with every movie and can be a really good director in the future.

Note that The Wild Robot has yet to be released in a good few significant markets - Japan not until next year for some reason, but the Uk and Spain over the next fortnight should add at least $5m on their openings, which will coincide with UK's school half term holidays, plus a lot more afterwards (probably $15m - $20M over its run), given how well it's done in Australia after a slow start. I suspect it should at least break even and probably make some profit after the entire worldwide run, especially as it appear to have gotten decent word of mouth, if not a spectacular following. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Joker 2's actuals come in below that of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice for its weekend 6, given that it's possible that the studio fudged the figures (it's only $50k ahead) to keep it in the weekend top three to avoid an even greater PR disaster. I could easily see it dropping well outside the top 5 next weekend if the current trend continues. I also wouldn't be surprised if the international figures for Joker 2 for last Monday to this Sunday were revised down quite a bit.

At least it's honest and comfortable in what it is. People watching any entry in the Terrifier franchise know exactly what they're getting into and if they don't like it, Dameon will respect their taste and not criticize detractors for "missing the point" unlike Todd Phillips. Get some top notch dubbing to English some of these great foreign horror films and you will have another revenue stream. Just watched The Sadness and with a good English dub and some marketing it would have made at least $50M in the US. I personally don't mind subtitles, but I know it holds the general audience down.

It needs to break 240 million (78 million production, 40 million marketing, and undisclosed print costs) for it to make one penny of profit. Right now it's tracking to miss that mark by a substantial margin. I know you like the movie but come on bro let's be objective here... it's tracking to lose money.
