I am very sorry all of you had to go through that! But I am glad you were prepared, and all are safe. I had a friend who had some very modest silver earrings and she wore them often. She was at the train station and 2 people came by and snatched them out of her ears! That was here in a US city. In 2008 I was in Amsterdam. I had all my jewelry on, because we had just gone to the opera. When the opera was over, we were starving and wanted some food. So my partner hailed a cab. But then there were 2 elderly ladies with umbrellas who came over and got in. Of course we let them have it. So we just walked to a place across from the opera and ate dinner. With dripping hair! LOL So finally the rain let up. We decided to walk to the train station, as there weren't enough cabs. We walked quite a distance with all my jewelry and his nice watch on and not one thing happened to us. But the police were asking questions at the train station! LOL Maybe they thought we were very drunk? Maybe they thought I was engaging in the worlds oldest profession? LOL I wonder if the city is still that safe? I don't wear any jewelry where I live now. And I own very modest pieces. I also have the cheapest cell phone anyone can buy, and the cheapest sneakers. But I was hoping there is someplace in the US I could move to and feel more safe. Perhaps when the economy is thriving? And rents bottom out? I mean people do these crazy insane things for a reason right?

He said in the video that they had windows that were hard to break. Now they've upgraded. A lot of these materials degrade over time so maybe they were several years old, maybe they were the best available at the time, maybe they were grade "A" not "AAA". Safes, for example, are rated on what type(s) of attack they can withstand and for how many hours. Used to be safecrackers would attack on holiday weekends because it gave them 72 hours to do the job.

A bit of tactical advice from an Army SOF guy. If Peter installs a fogger, his security guys won't be able to see, accurately discern, and safely engage targets. If anything, it will mask the robbers and make an already chaotic situation worse. His security personnel should be using thermal goggles to pierce through the fog. Night vision will not pierce the fog, whereas thermal will. Alternatively, he can get rid of the fog machine entirely because it's counterproductive. Also, I would recommend giving your guy a shorter-barreled AR with a suppressor and a weapon-mounted flashlight. I have done a lot of CQB in my time, and shooting a rifle indoors unsuppressed can be deafening, which is just as bad for the good guys as it is for the bad guys. There's a reason all the high-speed military units use suppressors, and it's not to look cool.
