Terrifying Fox Screams At Night
The trail cam in my back yard caught a fox screaming at night. We have been hearing foxes scream in the swamp behind our house for years but this is the first time I have ever been able to catch it at night?
What does the fox say? Well now you know. He lets out a terrifying scream?

A Momma fox has a den about 400 metres south of my house. Last spring she had 5 kits, and when they were starting to wander a bit they were right outside my window, playing and making the “fox bark” noise at 2:00 a.m. I yelled out the window “ You kids settle down!” And they did. Hilarious critters, red foxes! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

Was hiking an area next to the Withlacoochee River late afternoon with my husband once and heard a fox screaming. I knew at first it was an animal and after a few minutes I realized it was likely a fox. Having never heard this sound before ,my husband was looking 360 the whole way back like we were being stalked 😂 It still scares him , even after showing him some sound samples of fox screams later

Okay this is what I was hearing, I was outside smoking and then I heard some type of screaming from aways at 5am and I ran inside so quick 😂

Yeah it’s always disturbing the first time you hear it, especially if you live in a built up area… first time I thought someone was getting attacked

That doesn't sound like a woman. You can clearly hear the shape of it's throat. It also does mini "whimpers" at the start and end of its scream, an animalistic trait
