I'm flabbergasted at the amount you took off with those Spiral Slices from the Landschneckt and the Biding Slices from the Nightseeker. I think I need to get my people up to the mid 30's before I try him again. I was using my Arcanist and Harbinger to try to inflict status ailments, but I was only able to get sleep; I've yet to get panic on anything. I might try using items to inflict status ailments, and I have a bunch of Bravants. I didn't think it would increase the hits that much.

You'll find that buffs and debuffs can make or break your setup in this series, at least that is the case with every game from its 3DS era. This is especially true for Nexus and landing status ailments/binds. Landing Panic, for example, required both Wilting Miasma and the Harbinger Force Break; it was too inconsistent otherwise.
