Totemist leaders only get one trait, but it's always positive. This is meant to work with the Totemist ancestor veneration, or whatever you wish to call it

@@VasiliyOgniov Quarbit didn't take the most advantage of it, but natives can (at least a couple patches ago) do a humiliation war against any neighbor, which, combined with a strong native federation, means tons of monarch points for nothing. You get the war chief/peace chief event often, and it results in you being able to get all 10 traits filled out before the Europeans arrive (as well as tons of tribal lands to settle). By that point, you don't really care what your leader's trait is, as you already have 10 other good ones.

on 9:05 and your ruler only having one trait, yes that is a totemist thing where their rulers can only ever have one trait but that trait is always positive (so that it can work with their religious mechanic of being able to "keep" ruler traits)

Manufactories are actually ~twice as good as the tooltip says, because it only shows production income, but manufactories also increase trade income.

9:03 - It's a totemist thing to make the totem picking of previous rulers easier. You get a buffed version of a single trait typically, (IIRC) so there's that.

What can I say, we're pretty cool. Little rock fact: there's a volcano in Tanzania whose lava is only 550-650 degrees Celsius. It has a unique composition called natrocarbonatite and is found nowhere else on Earth, and two of its component minerals (nyerereite and gregoryite) are amongst the rarest minerals on Earth-I only know of one other place where they're found (an ancient pluton in Kola, Russia).

@@eafesaf6934 Properties are known to us. They're anhydrous and they react with atmospheric moisture and decompose into other minerals within hours of being erupted. There's not any practical uses, but the volcano erupts a fairly high concentration of certain rare metals compared to many other volcanoes so every now and then someone throws out the suggestion of mining it for those metals but it'd still be fairly impractical so it never happens.

The thing with the Texan separatists in Canada is normal. Norway had colonies in both regions; when they had unrest in the south, the Texan rebel tag spawned and set their culture to Norwegian. Because you had Norwegian separatism in the north, the game just snacked that rebel tag from there.
