Terry Bogard is to SNK like Ryu is to Capcom. He is one battle-hardened, yet fun loving hero, who lives up to that Hungry Wolf moniker. Through the anime I have seen, Terry is absolutely awesome. Speaking of which, have you seen the Fatal Fury animes? You should check them out sometime, especially Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, which lived up to what Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie had established. Other than that, well done. Keep it up! 😁

I think a really underrated look he’s had is 14. The jacket has so much love that goes under appreciated. From the 91 patch for fatal fury’s debut year to the real bout “ GET IN THE RING” written on the back it’s such a shame he’s only rocked it once.

Terry’s one of the characters I always chose for my team when playing KOF at a local laundromat. I def agree that his Garou/Wild Wolf jacket’s one of the best redesigns, literally originating alongside the Buster Wolf. Really wanted that as an alt costume for Terry’s Smash debut.

If I’m not mistaken the dialogue with terry and hibiki references the fact that wolves are older men who like young females. It’s the reverse of the term cougars.

Gosh, I am absolutely in love with that Orion train stage, it is just pure, gorgeous artistry. I admit, I didn't really have SNK anywhere close to my radar until maybe ten or twelve years ago when I got a copy of SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters DS (I'm a huge fan of TCG games) and was mostly curious who all these characters were, as Mai Shiranui was really the only SNK character I knew anything about at the time. Thankfully, SNK made a lot of their classics available in multiple places for pretty fair prices, and I eventually grabbed Capcom vs SNK 2 digitally on PS3. I really have such a respect for the games and everything they've done for the genre and industry as a whole.

It's not weird, it's obvious. CvS only existed because both companies were doing pretty bad with fgs. All Capcom fgs were slowly dieing in the late 90s and there was no new fg... and SNK itself was imploding and ready to close. But nowadays both companies have bright future with their fgs and no time and money to waste in crossovers that will only take the attention from their own major games. That's why CvS will never happen again, if both sides stay in good shape.

SNK pioneered many things that are staples now. The super move/comeback move, overarching storylines, guest characters, and I THINK the hidden boss battle (goes hand in hand with guest characters. Ryo.)

It's a simple moveset analysis, but maybe that's the point. I just came across this and that's what i got from this. It's limited because it's focused on CvS, which is only one version and not even a version that gives much to talk about. But for what it is, a CvS analysis, the video is a good work.

Terry is over of my favorite fighting game characters. Been a fan since I bought fatal fury on the Genesis back in the day. I'm super excited for the new fatal fury also. Sucks, because I've missed every fatal fury game since FF2. Lol. I got a lot of my info from KOF.

In CvS1 on Dreamcast, you can use classic music on the stages. For Terry's stage it's his classic theme from Fatal Fury. The classic music is a clear improvement here and on a lot of other stages. Maybe this is something you can cover in a future video. For the final battle against Geese, the classic music takes it to whole different level, since you get Geese's theme instead of the generic new one.

Between the Ryu, Terry and Mega Man videos, I kinda wanna see you someday make a similar series to Capcom vs Legacy talking about the 3rd party additions of the Smash roster specifically, with their movesets from that game as well as breakdowns of their history and whatnot since I feel Smash's 3rd party history and lineup is somewhat underappreciated at times, especially if they're not a Banjo or a Sora Next to that I kinda wanna see a video or two or even a mini-series talking about fighting game characters' guest appearances in other fighting games beyond the Capcom crossovers and Smash, such as say Iori in Arcana Heart, Terry in FEXL, Geese and Akuma, hell even Noctis and Negan in Tekken 7, and so on and so forth

In regards to the first thing, that's something I've been thinking about doing. It might be a while before that since there's some characters (read: Steve) where I have absolutely no experience with their source game whatsoever. The second thing is _definitely_ happening in the future.

I mean I feel as though the buster wolf is done really well in terms of impact and whatnot in King of Fighters 15 but I was a little surprised that wasn't mentioned. But in terms of maybe what you're looking for there is another game coming out that's a sequel to Mark of the wolves cult city of the wolves so we'll see if it's going to be crazy in that one

The KoF15 one is good! The only thing that holds it back a bit for me isn't so much a Buster Wolf problem, but KoF's projectile effects looking a little... weird, I guess? Not bad, just weird.

@@TheSeventhForce I will admit though King of Fighters 15 is a really nice looking game in a much big improvement over what was in KOF-14 but I guess it's still them finding their legs and how effects look but I will have to say if you look at the even bigger improvements in city of the wolves You not only see that they're going for a very definitive art style but also with the projectiles that are fired in there I have to say that their effects are going to probably look really amazing in that game so they're improving every game so that's a good thing to look forward to

Oh, definitely. I don't hold it against SNK at all, and it's a pretty aesthetically pleasing game to look at. The bit they've showed of City of the Wolves looks promising, so I'm hopeful!

Alright, another one I was looking forward too, I like most people, was properly introduced to SNK through smash bros, and while like you Sora is my favorite addition, (For the same reason too, love KH) I would be lying though if I said I didn't love Terry as well after that, I definitely know who I'm picking once I finally get to playing FF and KOF, and one thing I've seen someone describe Terry has actually somehow stuck in my mind when I think about him, it was from Thorgi's Arcade's Fatal Fury retrospective video, (Or maybe one of the KOF retrospective parts?) it was something along the lines of, "While Ryu is the wandering warrior, searching for inner peace, Terry's just the guy you call up to help you move a couch" (Btw, Thorgi's Arcade, huge recommend from me if you aren't subbed already) since there's not too many SNK characters I'd want to see covered, I think I'll list them now. Geese Howard, (Oh I'm sorry I meant *GEESE!* ) (A pretty cool boss, and has some of the best dialog, "Pradictabo!" "Duble repuken!" "Die like your father you pinheaded son of an ice cream maker") Rugal Bernstine, (Another cool boss, and that's pretty much it) Ryuhaku Todoh. (I have no idea why I look at this character and say, "This is a character I'm going to pick" he's not even really all that present in the KOF games or his own series if I remember correctly, I just say "I'm going to try to pick up this character" and I have no idea why, I don't even remember if this has even happened before with other fighters)

You must be north american and talking about that people then. I grew up with all SNK games in my place, where they are popular since the beginning before KOF. And at some point KOF got much more popular than all SNK games and even rivaled SF in the late 90s, or surpassing SF in some cases (from all the arcade stories around here). So the exposure and reception to SNK culture and all games is completely different than in some western countries. I've never seen a single person from the 90s in my country who only learned of SNK from a crossover game like CvS or SvC.
