Top Moments with Time Stamps I was saved by my high school 5:35 It was a special school which allowed u to be there if u had skills. From 7th grade to senior year, I had art ability. In my household, we cannot do a lot, as mum was too religious. My schoolmates told me the films they saw. I could not see any. So I would draw these films! I wanted to watch, to be there so bad! My mum allowed comic books. I found out in therapy 6:24 my desire to be strong is that one day I may have to kill my father. He was that type of person. It was a very intense upbringing. I just wanted to be a person to keep the peace- I became a pleaser. My mum 11:18 loved entertainment. We’d watch the Carol Burnett show. Every Sat Night. I look for ways to make her laugh. In all this pain, I saw this ability to make her laugh. This is a power. This will cool things out. This was most of my existence when I was a little boy. My wife looked at me 59:00 Rebecca: ‘Terry u are different! [Terry is in tears.] After all we have been through, Terry I am with you. Thank goodness I stuck with you.’ Thank you for this lecture!

@@user-sv9tf9yx3t I totally agree !!! It would be wonderful to see this kind of transparency brought to "our" high school kids !!! And I'm sure there are many avenues that our cities/states could get speakers, etc to men in therapy with a very low cost. I have like a million idea's in my head & heart right now that would be easily accessible to help people with little to no cost. You brought up some excellent ideas and your absolutely right!!

You don’t get interviews like this unless your guest feels incredibly comfortable and at ease. Terry is able to be this authentic because that’s what Stephen calls forth in people. What an incredible gift Stephen is to the world, very few people can hold a safe space allowing people to be this vulnerable. It’s a testament to something Stephen brings of himself to these interviews that calls forth truth, quite possibly because Stephen has done his own work, resulting in the most heartfelt interviews I’ve ever heard. These interviews will save lives. Thank you so much. Just incredible and yes I’m in tears. 😊 X

I loved White Chicks - it was one of my fav movies as a teen and loved Terry in it - and then Brooklyn 99 was one of my favs - I love seeing happy and fun Terry - but I love and appreciate even more the raw and truthful Terry who tells it how it is and is making changes for other men and people to be better and do better.

This is one of the best interviews I ever saw in English language. And what a relief for every human to understand that the very moment we accept and embrace our vulnerability, we are more a man or a women than we are without, because it simply means to accept the fact of being human. This also includes to accept mortality. And the very moment we stop acting like there is no tomorrow, while also acting like we are living forever... then we get humble and the healing kick in. Much love from Germany.

This podcast will do so much for tough men with egos to finally loosen up, be vulnerable and release their pain. Don't judge someone by their cover. Before this interview I would run away if I saw Terry in an alley way. Now I would give home a massive hugf.

I love the part where he referenced chaos as "I could have been Will Smith but I chose to be Chris Rock" def 100% on that. Takes a real man to not settle things by violence.

The amount of honesty, vulnerability and willingness to break one’s ego and be truthful not with anyone else, but with oneself is something 99 percent of the population will never do, far less someone in a position of power like Terry. This has truely inspired me to seek therapy for my own skeletons. To look at them in the face instead of hiding them deeper. I respect and admire this man for him allowing the world in, and for the self reflection he has done.

It’s amazing what we just don’t know about a person. Their past and how it affects the present and future etc. I think stories like this help people as it makes them feel not so alone. It also can provide guidance etc. Life stories is something I learn so much from. Steven you’re smashing it, fair play. ☺️
