Lewis, this interview proves more than ever what a great listener you are. That contributes to why you are a great interviewer. When Terry talked about his anger and about football, you could have interrupted and joined in and shared your own experiences. But you let Terry talk. You never step on your guest's words. Thank you.

I am so glad that he spoke about the mental health issues specifically in the black community because our dysfunction has many levels. Furthermore, so many black women are suffering because we are involved with men who are suffering but they refuse to show who they really are. But most will show you anger, manipulations, etc. And many black women are suffering because of it, but we don't really have serious conversation about the plight of black women's pain. This was an awesome interview. I love seeing men who are vulnerable with integrity!

What kind of dysfuntion? It has more to do with self awareness... and self reflection... If we just would think a little more about other people we love, these things wouldn‘t happen.

That’s right. I’m so glad these kind of issues are starting to be discussed in the black community from people with a voice. I think the pride of black people is high and that doesn’t allow us to express ourselves because “we” don’t have those kind of problems.

I love how he said, "I forgive you."....then you block their number. Thank you for validating the choice to CHOOSE SELF CARE and not think that forgiveness means you have to allow them into your space, your life. This is the same scenario that I have with my father- I choose to forgive him but I have blocked his number.
