Terry Labonte - Kelloggs Chevy (1993)

This is a model I've had done for a long time but have been too busy/lazy to put the slideshow together.
This is Terry Labonte's 1993 Kelloggs Corn Flakes Chevy Lumina for Billy Hagen Racing.
Labonte had 2 stints with Billy Hagen, back in the early/mid 80s in the #44 Piedmont car when he won the 1984 championship. His 2nd stint began in 1991 driving the Sunoco Olds, Sunoco left after 1992 and the team switched to #14 and got sponsorship from Kelloggs for 1993.
Once 1993 finished Labonte left Hagen for good joining Rick Hendrick's #5 team
and taking the Kelloggs sponsorship with him.
Hagen's team never really ran competitively after Labonte left and eventually closed
shop a few years later.
This is a scheme I have always loved, it only ran for 1 season and had very little
success, no wins and no top 5s, only a handfull of top 10s.
I had to convert a 1994 Kelloggs Lumina to make this, decals are by JNJ with contigs
from a friend of mine. I built this car last fall the same time as I was making the
Alan Kulwicki model and you will see some pics of the two cars together as they came together
I decaled and finished this model in early December.
I have pretty much done zero building since then, however I do have a car almost done that
I hope to finish before spring. I will have MUCH more time to build come summer time.
