I just find the talk a little pointless, Lee isn't allowed to change his opinion because his business model is to find a niche within the fan channel market. The truth is always in the middle Arsenal have improved and it's been a far better watch this season and actually game to game it looks better. But it's clear that the side isn't the finished article so we will have to see how it goes regarding recruitment in the summer, but truth is Arteta will be manager and we have a choice sit and enjoy the ride, turn off or go back to our one bed rented flat in Spain and moan about it. Personally I am going to enjoy the young side develop and maybe I am a poor fan like the Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Villa, Everton etc every fan apart from City who are winning. I guarantee Chelsea once they can't spend like before they will be part of the pack again is it there fans suddenly lack ambition or are they no longer propped up by a wealthy owner? It was telling though he puts the blame on aftv for the death of his friends, which obviously is incorrect but it shows a bitterness towards the Arsenal fanbase which is irrational, he looks like a child that's lost and needs some counselling or time with his family to get perspective, having negative thoughts all the time aren't a good idea he should maybe find something that gives him happiness.

Im a LFC When klopp brought us back to the UCL in 16/17 where we were also playing 1 game a week and were out of the Cup competitions early we were buzzing and then we got to back to back finals and won the thing why can't arsenal do the same thing??? With the leaving of proper footballers from Arsenal, the levels of quality and winning mindset continue to drop with each season. At this moment, the team lacks a quality 11 and a bench. As a Liverpool fan, I can see similarities between us and Arsenal. I agree that Arteta had to go back to go forward. Like Klopp did. It took years for Klopp to sort out the squad. The first step was its mentality and the fact that it wasn't strong enough. That's why the West Bromwich celebration is key. He spoke about the fans getting on board, to accept that there will be pain along the way but, eventually, success will come if you're patient and get on board with it. Arsenal are trying to do the same thing. I can see that and I don't even support them. Lee is being far too negative. You have no devine right to win anything. Spending a shed load of money doesn't mean anything anymore. Everyone does it. You also don't need elite footballers to progress. Nobody was worried about any of Liverpool's big signings. A good manager and proper structure will help good players become great players.

With Pep and Klopp in the PL, any reasonable chance to compete requires you to build a 90+ point a season team. Klopp and Pep are on pace for 90+ points season for the 3rd time in 5 seasons. Tuschel with all his star power at Chelsea is having a hard time keeping pace with Klopp and Pep. Arsenal is on pace for a 70-75 point season. The next 15-20 points are damn hard to get. None of Arsenal's players get in LFC or City's side including Saka. Saka has upside to him due to his age but he ain't going to replace Salah or Mahrez in LFC or City. Till you build a 90+ point team which requires 8-9 world class players, Arsenal isn't competing.

The Premier league is to strong, Man City have spent well over a billion, Chelsea too & look how much Man U have spent over last 4-5 years & they have got no where near winning it. I am a lot older than Lee but he really needs a reality check & with his views teams like Palace, Watford etc should never celebrate winning or just pack it in & call it a day, absolute rubbish!

It’s hilarious how people don’t get what Lee is saying. This team is shit compared to what Arsenal should be but because they’ve been worse the last two seasons the fans are celebrating improvement. Mean while that improvement is still miles away from where they should be. How you can celebrate mediocrity but then also say they should be held to a higher standard?? Lees holding the club to the standard that they should be held while other fans are celebrating 4th as if that’s the standard. Arsenal aren’t winning a trophy this year and are still not clear of Tottenham and United so 4th is still not guaranteed so what is there to celebrate? Yeah they’ve improved from last year but the only reason it’s looked at that way is because they’ve lowered the standards

@@Damian72510 you realize you just named like 5 different areas that you need to sign players to fit in order to even challenge like you’re saying. thats ignoring the fact that you’ve also got no depth at CB or RB so you need that too. You’re not signing that many impact players in one window you sound fucking mental. You really don’t seem to get how far you are behind city and liverpool when it comes to world class players in your starting 11 not to mention depth. It’s not even close. You also have to consider that being in champions league, even though it makes you more attractive, also means you’re having to play more games. Arsenal have benighted from not being in European competitions and being bounced early from the domestic cup competitions
